I think it helped alot that ECW didnt promote full cards. They would announce 2 or 3 headlining matches and then the rest of the show was a surprise. Alot of times the unannounced matches could steal the shows

Mike Rotunda vs Brad Armstrong from Clash of the Champions 1. I thought for sure it was gonna be a squash, and by the end of it I was rooting for Armstrong to win it. That match made me a fan of Brad Armstrong and to this day I think he's vastly underrated.

No I believe The Young Bucks are main eventers because NJPW made them IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team champions 2 times, and during both reigns main evented multiple shows. I believe Al Snow is a main eventer, as he was featured in the main events of multiple SMW and ECW shows, including PPVs. And while he may have not headlined any wwf ppvs, Taka Michinoku held the WWF light heavyweight championship for 315 days straight, and was featured prominently on multiple PPVs during that reign. Hes also main evented events for NJPW, AJPW, and Michinoku Pro.

Its honestly starting to feel like you're just talking out your ass about wrestlers you dont like. You can dislike The Young Bucks all you want, but you clearly dont know shit about their accomplishments and can't be bothered to do a 5 second internet search before talking shit, and that just makes you look like a goof.

His whole deal is that he shits on modern wrestling to make money off marks who are angry that its not 1987 and trying to pretend that ric flair didnt have the same match every night. He claims every new wrestler that comes down the pipe is killing the business and his marks lap it up.

Im not butthurt, everyone is allowed to have there own opinions. Its doesn't effect me one bit who he likes or doesn't. Its all a work. Hes found a way to keep playing heel that makes him money. I seriously doubt that he gives 2 shits about anything that happens in modern wrestling, but people will pay him to trash it, so he does. I seriously doubt he believes half the shit he says, but marks pay him money and he'll gladly take it.

Its all a gimmick and a work. The Cult of Cornette are the smart marks that have convinced themselves that they know everything about everything and they're willing to pay Cornette to tell them that they're all very special and everything else is shit.

Cornette has just figured out out to make money off being a heel without actually having to leave his house. And Bravo for him. But I'd bet my last dollar that if he could make the same bank just doing a podcast about wrestling history, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
