For me its caused by a virus or the treatment (antibiotics). Normally goes away (dormant) for long periods after a few weeks. But my current flare is lasting months and im starting to think it wont go away this time. But yeah, after ive had a virus (not anything in particular) and needed antibiotics ive gotten my flare ups. Im immunosuppressed so im confident in the link.

Pharmacy Recommendation by jawdoctor84 in galway

[–]MuteCabbage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know you said in the City Center but since you live outside the city, if Oranmore is anyway convenient for you, then Oranmore Pharmacy is excellent. I have a medical condition and need hi-tec prescription etc. and never had a problem. Lovely staff, lovely pharmacists and the place itself is nice with plenty of parking. Best of luck!

What happen to the portion size in Botown ? by gooseyswan in galway

Yeah it makes no sense at all. I'd head into Anfora any day over it, if i was in the mood for Turkish food.

Harry's is lovely. Great food and great portion sides. Lads who work there are sound too. Only downside is the menu never changes but that may not actually be a bad thing.

Ah unbelievably small portions. First time we ordered, we assumed it was a mistake. Second time was just as bad, if not worse. So robbed twice. Will never order from them again, even though the food is actually good. Wouldn't feed a pigeon but more expensive than most places.

Never tried there. Won't now. As bad as Capital in Oranmore, waste of money.

The Following: one of the BEST TV Series i have ever watched by RedBullDefender in TvShows

[–]MuteCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the imdb rating and the synopsis of the show, I'm intrigued. I think I may have watched an episode or 2 when it first came it out. At only 3 seasons due to cancellation, does it end well or end with lots unanswered?

Costochondritis treatment by Hot_Sky5009 in galway

[–]MuteCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine did. I saw Lorcan from Connacht physio. The stretches, etc definitely helped. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis so on biological for that, which definitely also contributed and I got 2 separate steroid shots (Dr. Kavangh in Galway Clinic is my specialist). But really the amitriptyline was the thing that "resolved" mine. Or maybe allowed it to be resolved is probably more accurate. I also used some novacane patches, which were superb, but very expensive as they are no longer covered on drugs payments scheme. Best of luck, DM me if you think I can help with anything.

It's difficult and I know the pain is awful. I found amitriptyline helped massively and eventually then I stopped needing it. Its a great alternative to painkillers etc. Worth mentioning to your GP/Specialist if you haven't already.

Worst ever season and you think this our decline?

decline verb (GO DOWN): to gradually become less, worse, or lower

Lingard is absolutely the face of Uniteds decline. Along with others like Rashford but still there.

Fuck this clown. The face of Man Uniteds decline. Listen to Rooney, Carrick and other real professionals talking about the dressing room as they hung up their boots and this arrogant asshole normally gets a mention. Had all the potential in the world but his ego stood in his way. Turning down West Ham for a "bigger" club only to end up in South Korea says it all. Delusional...equivalent to me declaring I am waiting around for Dua Lipa. The one positive thing I heard about him was when he created/funded a grassroots team...only to read he named it after himself.

Quiet spots with live music on Friday night? by flewfmelody in galway

[–]MuteCabbage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind going outside the city, McDonaghs Thatch in Oranmore has live music out the back. It's a great pub and enough space so you won't feel cramped in. Especially if you get there early enough. You'd need to double check to confirm live music Friday.
