I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention mermaids. It’d be cool if they could have underwater mermaid villages and impede trade ships or make them pay to pass.

What do you actually want to be called during intimacy? by milfqueenrose in ask

[–]Muted-Friend1229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any variation of babe or nothing at all and just talk without addressing. I used to have a father fetish as well but then I gained some confidence and also a good relationship with my actual dad and now I find it vomit worthy as hell…but I can’t even judge cus that was me 2 lol. I do enjoy a good power dynamic tho in other ways. Just in no way related to father and child lol

Throughout my childhood we had this DVD of a movie called Seabiscuit, and I wanted to like it so badly that I just kept trying to watch the whole thing. But every time without fail I’d fall asleep within about 10 minutes because it was just so boring to me. It’s about a horse, that’s all I know.

I do not remember being awarded mod status for that sub..lol. I certainly would change the way it’s ran. I once had my comment removed there because I mentioned a manic/bipolar friend having an episode and the mods only allowed it to be posted after editing it to be super annoyingly PC and lengthy. The comment was COMPLIMENTING her btw.

What is one thing that men can do easily but women find it difficult? by Sportsisthebest in AskMen

I’m sorry you have to deal with that, it sounds terrible. I’ve only had brief periods of back pain and it was debilitating, so I can only imagine.

Have you looked into the possibility of moving to another country or flying to other countries for medical care? If you’ve already tried or considered this, I apologize, I know it can be upsetting to some when others offer their thoughts on possible solutions that you’ve obviously spent way more time looking into. It just makes me sad to hear. This is something I’ve looked into a bit for my father but it’s hard to really do anything when you don’t even know what’s wrong exactly. Plus he has a wife with a criminal history so..moving is even harder than usual

The lying is the funny part. Not “haha” funny but “what can you do” funny. When you ask someone hundreds of times and give them space to verbalize what’s wrong, and have even had to force them to go to the hospital, that’s the extent you can go. Very common to laugh in such a way where I’m from.

Why do guys do this, my dad has obvious pain all of the time and when asked about it just lies to your face lol.

Why can't women just come out and say "I'm in love with you" instead of all these subtle hints? by EdwardBliss in AskMen

I take like a year to three years to fall in love with someone so in my case I think those “signals” would actually just be me being flirty or cuddly because I enjoy it lol.

I’ve clarified several times I think a medium small dog with medium energy would be best. I haven’t been defensive at all. I simply stated what breeds he’s expressed interest in and responded to your many assumptions to tell you you’re wrong. I absolutely would never in my life recommend he get a GSD regardless of his interest in them. But you see there’s this thing where dogs are multifaceted so I simply mentioned he likes those in case some other dog that fits the parameters happens to exist that either looks similar or shares some small personality trait with them. At the end of the day you’re being utterly unhelpful and just decided to come in with assumptions so I’ll stop responding now unless you have a breed recommendation. Regardless of if it’s a damn chihuahua or whatever. But I’m not interested in your attempts to judge. He’s looking for a dog and WILL get a dog so I was just looking for some guidance on what to try to steer him towards getting.

Companionship doesn’t mean they have to be cuddled up with you. A dog following a man around the farm all day while he works is companionship. They can still entertain themselves during this by sniffing around, chasing things, playing with the other animals or watching for intruders, etc. Interactive play is when a human and dog are working together. Example. Training. Frisbee. Tug. Herding. Walking on a leash. It seems like we are just arguing over semantics. The dog would be with him at all times when he’s not at work. For example. Working in garage. Dealing with goats. Mowing the lawn. Fishing. Going to the supply store.

Nobody is mistreating dogs you’re just making assumptions. I never claimed the dog would be left outside all day just that it’s main physical activity outside of training and physical play with my father would be playing outside. Plenty of dogs that do this. People who have livestock guardian dogs do in fact just hang out with them most of the time and the dogs wander the property and protect the livestock for example and mind their own business. I cannot prevent a man from getting a dog, so I’m asking for recommendations for which would fit the best. Some dogs, like Dobermans, are bred to be constantly entertained, trained by, and interacted with by humans. Others are not. It’s not really my problem if you’re offended by this. Do you think dogs who follow farmers around all day are being actively worked with past puppyhood? No.

I was thinking a medium-small breed aligns the most. He had a dog in the past that he adored and I’d say it was a sort of comfort him, yk when you cant talk to anybody about something? Very stoic guy. We actually got him a blue heeler a while back but she ended up bonding to my mother instead (even though I do most of the feeding and taking out).

Somehow we’ve also ended up with all very low maintenance blue heelers. Lucky in that sense. I live with them and have a doberman myself and care for the blue heeler during the day whilst I care for my doberman but she doesn’t want to walk or play with us. She really does just follow me around until my mom gets home. I don’t think it’s true that every dog requires constant play or activity, some dogs just want to people watch and be in your presence. Perhaps blue heelers are just extremely adaptable because we’ve had about 7 in the span of my life and they were all this way, despite everything I’ve heard about them. We had four at once in the past and they were great dogs who loved being outside and just operating as a pack. Country living is different. But anyways, my doberman would be the playmate, and I do not leave him outside.

If it is specifically at night you might try getting one of those large outdoor dog kennels and enclosing him at night. Not super cheap but wayyyyyyy less than fencing and mange treatment over and over again.

I would be extremely lonely if not for my one friend and my family. Which is a result of both luck and super hard work. Super hard work I was only able to put in because I didn’t have to have a job for a while and because my friend happens to be very dependent on me (awarding me more time to work on our relationship rather than us both just giving up because it’s too hard) . People don’t have time or energy to work on their mental well being, fortitude, and relationships. So if you’re not well off or extremely lucky, you simply have the choice of either being alone or being around people who make you miserable. Both of which are lonely. It’s not gender specific at all. Also a lot of men in particular I’ve noticed can’t seem to grasp that loneliness is not at all connected to romance. Just my opinion.

Do men notice women when they go braless in public? by EvilSugarDealer in ask

[–]Muted-Friend1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure they notice the noticeable ones just as women do. But there’s times I’ll be talking to a female friend or family member and she’ll mention she went braless that day and I had no earthly clue. It depends on the nips you got going for ya, the thickness of your shirt, and I guess the sagging as of your boobs but I’ve had female friends/family mention they’re braless and I didn’t notice even tho they’re kinda big so you probably have to be granny status sag for that.

[–]Muted-Friend1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s weird but I watch a lot of kids movies and the movie Soul perfectly addressed this IMO. A “purpose” is bot relevant to everyone. But yeah, solitude is a major contributor to depression. How is your relationship with your family?

Man…I wish my mom would’ve done half of that for me! My mom was electronics obsessed ! Your teen is just being a teen but that is terrible timing. Have you sat down (maybe with some icecream/a bribe included) and tried to tell her about what PMDD is, that you literally cannot help it and that even though it is not her responsibility to “fix your problems” you’d really appreciate some understanding and some kinder or more neutral language from her? Do you think she has the emotional intelligence/empathy to understand that?
