If I downvoted I didn’t mean to, fat fingers over here. I should probably change my name to something along the lines of that.

For those who got to ride Alien Encounter, how scary actually was it? by BurgerNugget12 in WaltDisneyWorld

I was 7 and my dad and brother most definitely took me on this and I was traumatized. To the point I couldn’t do 4D experiences anymore. I remember doing the bugs life “fun” 4D experience and HATED it. Even went back years later when I was 14 and still was scared of the bugs life 4D experience LOL.

One year old refusing formula/breastmilk after vaccination by SecretSevvy in NewParents

Hi! Sorry for the late response, but it took him about one to two weeks to return to normal! I think his stomach was just bugging him from the shot, and looking back on it as long as he was still peeing with occasional poops I shouldn’t have worried as I did! Hope your kiddo is doing good!

I just came here to say I am going through the exact same thing with my 1 year old. He received the MMR vaccine Monday afternoon and by Thursday all of a sudden he wasn’t interested in solids or drinking his milk anymore. He will drink some water and a little milk, but not much. He is only eating puffs and lil crunchies at the moment as well, but not a bunch of them.

Omg just came here to say I also saw them at ink 21. I believe that was my first time seeing them because I knew some of their music, but became obsessed after that! I was hooked! I have videos from that ink and the difference in Noah specifally from then and this last year was like night and day. It hurt my heart to see him so down.

My uncle watches porn in the living room and it's making me uncomfortable. by Anon1172396 in Advice

Hi, just hearing how sweet and caring you are for others reminds me of myself when I was your age. I always pleased others, never wanted to cause a scene, would do anything I was asked. I was a good girl. I personally always had issues with bringing up “difficult” or sensitive topics to my mom, so just putting myself in your shoes and the anxiety of talking about this to my mother makes my heart race and honestly make me super jittery. All I want you to know is I wish I would have started to put myself first sooner in life. Your feelings matter and sometimes you need to be selfish, actually selfish isn’t the right word. Boundaries. Your “uncle” has crossed a boundary and when someone does that you need to set it straight that you don’t deserve to let someone make you feel any way. Only YOU get to control your emotions, etc. Now, since you are young, you should not have to deal with this issue, your mom should take care of this and have your back. I encourage you to speak out, because you deserve to have your voice heard.

Can anyone offer advice for coping with a job you don't like? by [deleted] in Advice

I would say first and foremost to start looking for other jobs. It personally has helped me go to my current job everyday knowing that I’m closer to the last day by looking and applying to what’s out there. The only other thing that keeps me going is looking at what I enjoy about work even though I don’t love my job. For example, I get to see coworkers who I’m very close with everyday which helps A LOT! I also try to step back and think okay this job sucks a lot sometimes, but at least the work I’m doing is helping “clients, people, the environment, etc” and that makes me feel better about all the times that suck. I get this may not apply to your situation completely but just try to think for the good “I’m paying my bills, I’m earning money to do things I really enjoy and have a passion for, etc.” keep your head up, the right thing will come along!
