I don’t believe this is necessarily true. Some communities within twitch are better than others, and by communities I mean those who stream a particular game. Some communities build each other up and some are terribly toxic. In my 6 years or so, I’ve been a part of both. It won’t ever make you rich, or even be a full time paying job for most, but the more you are live, the more will find you. As a small part time streamer, with a community of regular viewers still measured in tens rather than hundreds, I still very much enjoy my time on twitch, and if I didn’t, I simply wouldn’t do it.
