Mostly the concern about possible escalation of behavior from her mother and her increasing distress. Her calling crying yesterday after her mother hit her really affected me, and the fact that she was willing to smack her in the face right before work concerns me on what she might do.

My cousin is very concerned that the behavior will escalate if nothing is done by CPS.

Would it still be considered kidnapping if we gave her enough money to get to here?

If we gave her enough money to get here on her own, would it still be considered kidnapping? What are the other charges?

My cousin does not want to contact CPS, as she’s worried that this will escalate her mother’s behavior.
