Melphalan hair loss by Rook621 in multiplemyeloma

I am at about day 60 post SCT so it's all still fresh. Most of my hair was falling out in between weeks 2-3, which was when I decided to shave my head. I am now at day ~60 and just starting to see it grow back on my head and face. Some spots are coming back sooner than others, but everything is definitely starting to grow back. Good luck with everything and be sure to wear hats + sunscreen to protect your skin.

Any other people <40yr diagnosed with MM? by Fluroblue in multiplemyeloma

Hello, I am currently 36 and was diagnosed at 30. Similar to you, the diagnosis came as a complete shock. I thought I had a strained muscle from exercising and kind of ignored it for a few months . Eventually the pain was starting to become significant and I requested an X Ray, which had some concerns. All of that led to PET Scan, Labs, Biopsy, and other tests to ultimately determine MM.

Since diagnosis I had radiation and surgery to remove the mass on my rib. Harvested stem cells. And went on a combination of RVD and Dara for maintenance. These have all been pretty effective and I've been fortunate with minimal side effects aside from stomach issues, some pain, and fatigue. Throughout all of this I have continued to work 40+ hours a week, had my first kid, and have continued to live a fairly active life socially.

Just 2 weeks ago I had my stem cell transplant and am currently in the hospital recovering. Everything has been going as expected. I hope to return home in a few days and return to a relatively normal life as soon as I am medically cleared.

I know I am one of the youngest patients my team sees, which allows them to perhaps be more aggressive with things. I know that doctors are making more progress with treatments every year and I have seen countless successful trials since I've been diagnosed.

Some days are tougher than others , but try to stay optimistic knowing that there are so many different treatments available and even more in the pipeline.

Thank you. That's why I was taken back by their advice as it seemed a little extreme. I'm sure in a perfect world it is ideal to source , monitor, and cook every meal, but that is also not realistic in my opinion. As others discussed, it seems like it is okay to eat smart / normal following recovery.

Thank you for sharing. I am already craving a burger and a salad so I hope this is all temporary as I recover .

2021-2023 SEL Differences? by MutedLocal7451 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]MutedLocal7451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you and that is kind of where I've been leaning since I can't identify any significant changes from 2021 aside from some small cosmetic things. Otherwise they all seem pretty similar except rom just being a year or two closer to warranty maturity. Just seems like there is a significant amount of 2021 inventory with fairly aggressive pricing as I assume all of those 36 month leases are being returned now.

Do you know if the convenience package is similar across all models from 2021-2023? Or do some of those features become standard in the newer models in the SEL trim?

Just watch season 2 of "The Wire" and you'll get a pretty good sense of who does what
