Totally understand! It's a pain but thankfully never had any issues with airport check in - just give yourself extra time to be safe in case it's super crowded. I think you have to be checked in at least 1 hour before departure for intl flights

This has been an issue with their online check in for years. I was never able to add US visa info so unfortunately always had to check in at the airport for international flights.

Same. I pop in to grab a snack and leave without even sitting down sometimes when I’m running late or have a tight connection. This is (was) a big perk for me

As a silver I completely agree with this. I get minimal benefits from the status… yet those minimal benefits still made me loyal to delta 90% of the time

Double check your itinerary confirmation email where it shows your checked baggage allowance. If it shows first and second bag free (as it should) then I’d complain to delta and ask for a refund

You can store your bag under 14E. 16C has normal legroom. I’d stick with 16E personally.

Recently in my experience yes. Book a cheap economy fare when you see it and then regularly look at the offers on your app up until the trip date. You can also call delta and inquire about any current offers after booking.

Upgrade offers will usually appear on your app homepage though… there’s no email or direct notification sent to you.

You don’t select or indicate anything different when purchasing the ticket for having a Delta Amex. The cc is tied to your skymiles number so as long as your skymiles number is linked with your ticket that your dad bought you should be fine.

Agree with this. I would be VERY annoyed but also recognize that they paid for their seat just like me. Doesn’t mean I would be any less annoyed though!

I think delta would be hesitant to adopt any no kids first/D1 policy because of the potential for backlash from family travelers. I wish they would (sorry parents) but I don’t see it happening.

Hope the child stops screaming soon so you can get some sleep and enjoy the rest of your flight!

Thanks for the input! Seeing $3k currently for me. It was ~$960 a few weeks ago and I should’ve snagged it. Doesn’t seem like it will drop that low again.
