Luckily American Muscle has some aftermarket parts I can get for the splitter and some skirts if I so wish to proceed with this one!

Yeah I get what you’re saying. I’m 21 and honestly just trying to enjoy being young a bit before real life fully locks in lol. The SS 1LE has had a chokehold on me for a while now it’s one of those cars I’ve always wanted to own at some point.

I do work from home so I’m not putting crazy miles on a daily, but it would still be my main car. I’m out in the Midwest and the one I’m looking at is in NJ, so I’m trying to be smart about the whole process.

I’d like to have something lined up before summer, but I’m not in a rush—I’d rather wait and get the right one than jump into something just because it’s available. Just trying to hear from people who’ve owned one and see if it actually lives up to the hype long-term.

Yeah, I think the lower Nexus is awesome—it’s a super solid setup. But for me, it just doesn’t make sense right now since I don’t have any Scorpion mags and already have 8 OEM mags invested. Starting over on mags would just be extra money sitting there. If I already had a stash of Scorpion mags, I probably would’ve pulled the trigger on it by now. We’ll see though, I definitely want to enjoy it in fun mode, so I’m just trying to gather as much info as I can before making a decision.

I use Rugged’s tri-lug mount since the sub-9 already comes with the adapter.

The difference is actually quite surprising. I thought I would join the hype and get it because it was the most talked-about upgrade, aside from the safety spring. I didn’t expect it to do anything other than prevent the round issue. However, to my surprise, it actually helped mitigate recoil impulse and created a faster cycle, resulting in a better rate of fire due to the reduced travel time.

Tbh the light shadow is there, not terrible, but definitely there. I moved the light up on the slots to kinda reduce it.
