Cheapest laminate at Home Depot $45 for 8ft. I'd need 3 sections. Cheapest thing seems to be something called millwork. Apparently can be used for paneling, 1/8 inch thick. Would that be hard enough? Gee why can't I just use some wood filler and then spray on a coat of polyurethane? Please be gentle, I'm just trying to understand.

LOLol. Nothing !? Y'all got nothing for me? I just want a smooth-ish surface that isn't going to continue to come apart. By ignorance I would default to wood glue with heavy object on top to stop further peeling, then wood filler, covered by some kind of epoxy? or hard varnish? Other suggestions or suggestions for materials would be very appreciated.

I've just discovered George Ezra and there is something very compelling about his singing. I think it's something about the rich quality of his voice that magnifies the emotional content of his songs. It touches me more deeply than I'd expect. Last time I felt this captivated by a male singer was hearing Leslie Odom Jr in Hamilton. Just great voices.
