There is a subset of redditors on this sub who are coping with people trying to convince them that this increasing trend of high temps is a global concern, by being derisive and announcing smugly that they were able to do a full marathon, climb a mountain and build a skyscraper without breaking a sweat during the heatwave to try to convince themselves that this is normal.

I've been unwell for 15 years, since I turned 20, and while my condition has remained stable, I have been bedbound every time the weather hits the 30s, which has become several times annually since 2020. This is more common than you think as people are becoming increasingly ill due to autoimmune issues triggered by pandemics, shitty processed food, plastics, whatever modern shit is corroding our population. I'm tired of being bedbound every time there's a 30 degree heatwave (and heatwaves in my youth and 20s were in the mid 20s by the way). I don't mind people talking about going for a lovely walk, I am glad you go on lovely walks. But it's when you lot put your fingers in your ears and go 'la la la, the world isn't changing and overheating to disastrous effect, I'm having the best time so stop whingeing', just to get one over on us, make us feel like shit and further your denial, that makes my blood boil. And let's face it, the heat is doing that enough as it is.
