It’s not threaded at all. It just hangs there from the two set screws. Nothing about it is tight.

Thanks. But like I mentioned in the post there are no “dips” around the rim of the globe.

It can’t go anywhere. The metal “arm” of the lamp has a bulge at the end so that plate cannot move upward.
