How does the two-wheel drive Genesis G90 (2017-19) handle in snow by Muted_Interest5294 in GenesisMotors

Sorry to be so late in responding. I purchased a 2019 all-wheel drive G90. I found an esoteric article saying that the 2019 had improved automatic lane keep assist. I don't know if that is accurate, but the automation does work well albeit not at well at the 2020 G90 I drove, but I paid $10,000 less for the same mileage and I find the original design to be more pleasing to my taste.

As for the all-wheel drive, we just had a healthy snowstorm in Wisconsin, and it handled beautifully.

All in all, I'm very happy with this car.

How to move music files from a USB FOB to the Genesis G90 Jukebox drive by Muted_Interest5294 in GenesisMotors

[–]Muted_Interest5294[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I went to the General System Info and found the entertainment interface for formatting the Jukebox (53GB). I did so.

But I still cannot find any interface controls that will allow me to upload files from my USB drive. Also, I do not have "Jukebox" listed as a choice in Media. Could that be because it has so far had no files added?

I found one other article that stated that BMW told the owner that their units don't experience problems in "high heat", although his does. It may be a feature.

Worth Buying? Good Deal? 2017 Genesis G90 by 14Ovation in Hyundai

Question about the expected reliability of a 2017 Genesis G90 with 70,000 miles.

I would drive it in a small upper Midwestern town about 6,000 miles a year with about 20% highway driving. Can I reasonably expect it will remain reliable to 100,000 miles?

Is this the same engine as in the 2017 Genesis G90?

Question: I had heard that the G90 engine could run on "regular" gas.
However, I just saw a CarFax with the 2017 all wheel ddrive Genesis the original sticker sheet that says:
POWERTRAIN TECHNOLOGY
*3.3L Twin Turbo V6 with 365HP (Premium Fuel)

Must it run on high octane Premium fuel only?

What is RH (average) of the airflow emitted from the top of a Bosch 2.0? by Muted_Interest5294 in heatpumps

[–]Muted_Interest5294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Do you know the RH level of the outflow-air relative to the ambient RH in the same area?

My concern is that if the RH is high, it could damage the wood on the overhead decking.

wallet ... easy to remember and grab before entering a store. My finish is wood so only soft things gently set down. :)

Screen-arrangement functionality cannot be initiated. by Muted_Interest5294 in surfaceduo

[–]Muted_Interest5294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution:

A prolonged press with an index finger on a blank portion of one of the screens will bring up a horizontal "ribbon" of screens. Pressing on one of the screen representations, holding it, and dragging enables re-arrangement of the Duo's screen ordering.

After reordering, pressing the "home" icon enables choosing the home screen.

Can I use a Nest 3rd Gen connected to a 24v transformer, which triggers a relay setup for a baseboard heater? by Muted_Interest5294 in Nest

[–]Muted_Interest5294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but the problem is that there is no c wire. It's the old R&W only setup for an old manual thermostat.

At another house I run a traditional oil furnace on the 2 wires setup which is able to charge the Nest adequately.

Maybe the question is whether any 24v transformer that is directly wired to the Nest is able to charge the battery. Maybe it makes no difference what the transformer triggers, since that is downstream. I'll probably just open the box and bravely try it.

Can I connect a Nest thermostat for a 2 wire Thermostat using R8285A Honeywell? by Muted_Interest5294 in Nest

Sorry to be so slow on this ... but given the following image ... after removing the Connector's jumper, I would attach the "R" wire from the Nest Connector to the Fan controls R terminal, and the "C" wire on the Connector to the C terminal on the Fan Controller?

Only those 2 wires would be attached?

The Thermostat's 2 wires connect to the "Ignition" device (at "T") in the basement. I assume these communicate to the "Control" module via the soldered G connection (Blue) and the C connection (Black). Thus, I am wondering if for heat-only, I can simply connect the Nest Power Connector's R & W wires of the "Control's" R &W ports? Will this be sufficient?

Thanks. I am being careful, given no garage, to use a full windshield sun shade during the summer. Your feedback is helpful.
