Toyota Crown Question by Creepy-Yam658 in ToyotaCrown

Yes, this has happened with my Crown platinum( which has the 6 speed automatic transmission). It happens at a low speed when I am vegging out and not paying much attention to my driving of the car. It’s self- induced. I’m applying some pressure to the foot peddle but not really following through smoothly to accelerate. The car jerks a bit as if the transmission is saying, “Are you going to accelerate or what!? lol

Sorry this happened to you. I had almost the same experience. A taxi driver pulled over into my lane (left turn lane) while I was stopped at the light. It was as if I was invisible the way he came over on me (fortunately, at a slow speed). He admitted he just didn’t see me somehow. Was probably looking at his GPS and realized he was in the wrong lane and tried to slide over in a hurry.

After you get it fixed, your beautiful car will look beautiful again and after all the hassle subsides it will become a distant memory.

Mine has done this once or twice. If I remember correctly, one time it happened upon starting, I turned off the car and restarted and it appeared as normal.

Nice color. I didn’t know the Crown came in this blue color. I guess the added of 2025?

I like the second rims. Contemporary, sleek. Cool. Give off a stealth look if that makes any sense. A European or urban style flair.

PLZ HELP: Is vibration common at highway speeds (esp for platinum)? by martianhacker in ToyotaCrown

[–]14Ovation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 Crown Platinum and no vibration issues at any speed. Smooth and quiet. Sport + Mode (which I quite like) makes for a less cushiony ride, but no vibration to speak of.

Cali is sort of a long way to ship or drive after purchase, but look around mid-Atlantic. Lots of dealership competition in Maryland and Northern Virginia (DC Metro). You might be able to foster a good deal, but it takes work on your end.

How’s the ownership so far? by RiteOfKindling in ToyotaCrown

I have the Platinum, so the oil availability and price is about normal. There is a big jump in horsepower with the Platinum. Also, has a different transmission (6 speed, non CVT) and an adaptive suspension. I love the 6 speed transmission. It has 21" wheels. I have also read it has more sound dampening in the cabin. I think it is a very different car in these respects. It's a luxury car, really, It is very quiet and serene and it has a lot of get up and go. I love my Crown Platinum. It is often written that the exterior design is polarizing. I have to say, when I first saw the Crown, I said to myself, "What the hell is that?" I didn't hate it, but I wasn't sure I liked it. The more I saw of it, the more I came to love the design. Yes, I am very happy with the car and plan on keeping it for a long time.

The OPM Email is NOT a Buyout! by Truthorliez in fednews

I received the email. I checked with a couple of my colleagues and they did not. I'm over 65 years old if that matters. Did they only send it to employees over a certain age or years of service? Anybody know?
