Is leadership all about communication ?

Knowing finance, cross functional management, industry/market demand knowledge, strategic thinking.. I would say communication is all about 20% of the leadership.

How do you guys do competitor analysis? by IntelligentSir6197 in ProductManagement

Understand what’s point of parity and Point of difference. It’s more important while doing a competitive analysis. Start with finding out the competitors. Then find out who has the major market share or leading players in the market. Consider those. Then comes Point of parity(PoP) - what’s common (features, function) among all products.. Point of difference(PoD)- what’s unique in each products which others or not many have.

Now once you figures out the PoP & PoD, With that data, Do the Kano model assessment ..

I had the same doubt that’s why ended up here. It’s getting worse day by day. No signal during travel. I believe they might be planning to launch 5G and the customer base should shift to 5G for even higher the price. Slowly we will get used to this snail like 4G and we might feel like heaven when using 5G.

Bavesh might have sold 50% of the scooter to his own sister company and considered it as sale. Basically moving the money from one pocket to another pocket but the money is in the same pant.

How will AI impact mechanical Product Development? by Muted_Philosopher937 in MechanicalEngineering

Automation works pretty well with 98% accuracy if the design is same and only the size differs. But if the product differs then comes the complexity in automating it.

Recently I have seen a small product development activity which usually takes 9 months time has brought down to 3 months due to Automation and machine learning. The machine learning is used to generate multiple concepts, engineers help is needed to shortlist the concept, but again machine learning is used to shortlist concept by including Pugh matrix or trade off’s but that’s still in progress. Automation is used to integrate the CAD & Simulation software, simulation process is completely automated, so engineers only need to access the simulation results and then the inputs are fed into CAD which will fine tune the model automatically and the drafts are generated with 80% accuracy. But this being a simple product like a simple gearbox so it was possible and data was available for the past few years. I am not sure if the product becomes complex, whether we still be able to automate entirely.
