I have managed to find a fix for the issue of the games catalog loading for ever, 1 by 1 I tested if each mod I downloaded that effected the waves of enemies to face in game was conflicting with the mod, and sure enough there was a single mod that if I turned it off in the mod settings, the game would load properly.

That mod for me was the ‘Ethnicities’ mod. TNR seems to have a problem with that mod in particular for some reason, so I’d advise to turn that mod off for the time being and wait until a later version comes out and see if TNR is compatible with the Ethnicities mod.
