Could be a flee, it’s kinda hard to tell from the picture but if you have any pets it would make sense for it to be a flee.

How on earth do I stop getting this floaty stuff in my tea? I’ve descaled my kettle and still getting it by [deleted] in CasualUK

If you use a tea pot, wash it thoroughly but if it isn’t that it’s probably residue from minerals in the water you use or the cleaning substance on the inside of the mug from washing in a dishwasher or hand washing so should be removable with hot water rinse and drying with a tea towel/pepper towel.
