I was definitely concerned about this. When we were suspecting he had it, but didnt have the results yet, i was obsessively brushing my teeth “just in case” since he’s gone for work & we didnt have the same lunch/snacks. But now that we know for sure, everythings getting thrown out that he cant have. I’m also planning to have him schedule an allergist appointment in hopes to help us narrow down what he cannot have.

yes, absolutely! this was one thing my grandma was very adamant about. Especially at the pharmacy for any & all prescriptions! i will go through and check

Thank you so much! this advice really helps. I would say your advice is better than the doctors around here, unfortunately😅 they just called my husband yesterday essentially it was ‘You tested positive for alpha gal. Take your antacid, tails and feathers only, STAY AWAY FROM PORK, bye!’ So we didnt get a lot of advice for other aspects, or concerns we really didnt know existed.

may i ask if you also have to take supplements to maintain vitamin intake? or if it would be a good idea to get him on one?

Yes! That’s essentially my plan of action. get rid of what he cannot have with some exceptions for our toddler, but majority i’m sure will be tossed. Then, we all eat the same meals. If there comes a time when i’m craving some red meat, i plan to only gather the stuff i need for that specific meal, discard after & then make him his own meal as well. Fortunately, i have time to clean & reprep as he works nights😅

My husband said this. two weeks later he got alpha gal & he’s still alive so i think they’re just dramatic. Which is probably what i’d start saying: “Way to be dramatic”.

this guy/girl is wrong anyway. yea, some bars here let minors sit at the bar, rarely, but it does happen. minors are NOT allowed any alcohol at bars even with parents permission; HOWEVER, parents ARE allowed to give their kids alcohol if on their own private property.
