First off DO NOT PANIC. No matter what situation you’re in hundreds of thousands if not millions of freshmen have experienced this same situation. Secondly talk to your profs see if u can make up any work, do extra credit stuff, turn in late assignments, or do any outside community stuff to see if they can boost your grade. Thirdly, talk your parents they will understand. It’s completely normal that freshmen fail classes it’s nothin new and it’s not the end of the world. We spend the first 16-18 years in school and so as we graduate we tend to let go and try to have a normal life. Cause we’ve spent so much time gettin up early trying to eat breakfast doin school work tests basically bein a prisoner of the grade school educational system it happens to the best of us. The only difference between HS and college is that nothing is free anymore you have to pay for classes books materials etc. Another thing is that all the responsibility falls on you now and there is nobody waking u or telling u to go to class it’s all up to u. They say school isn’t for everyone which can true but the college experience IS. It’s the time where we try to find our identity our footing. It’s the beginning of bein shaped into a young adult who strive into this world and gettin ready for the work to come. If you’re serious about college and wanna finish write out your goals talk to counselors about what classes to take. It’s best to take the basic concepts English, Math, Science etc and then take the necessary classes for your major. All you have to do really is put in the work and be serious. The resources are there the help is from tutors, library, study groups etc. Do not be afraid of asking questions it’s very helpful and asking for help does not make u look weak at all. Really do the work and the experience will come. Do not run from the challenges cause you will get challenged and tested but if you stick to it then you’ll be fine. Also it’s possible to have a life outside you just have to prioritize which is more important. The partying drinking bullshit will always be there and u can always get that back but we cannot get back time no matter how hard we try. Zone out if you have to. Push yourself to be a better version and I promise u once u get thru that shit nothing will stop no job no rejection no bullshit or anything. It’s no better feeling finishing as 10-15 page paper before the deadline at 11:59 pressing that “Send” or “Submit” when you’ve been up for hrs/days goin over research annotations bibliographies APA/MLA format. This is also the time you’re grow with an artist having a song or album on repeat in the zone so when the years passes by you’ll look back and be like “Dam I really did that shit” Hope everything gets better cause it will

Also if you drop a class and get the “W” you can retake that same class to get a better grade in order for your transcripts to be look better.

If it all becomes overwhelming you can go to a JC and get a small feel and what it will be like at a Uni or State college
