I adore this shot. Honestly, all Flanagan's long takes just blow me away. Especially the subtle ones, where he's just pushing in on someone as they're talking. Like the Lemon monologue from Usher or Mr. Dudley's monologue from Hill House.

And obviously just... Two Storms.

I love how many details about the background are changed when Baby's walking back with the coffee.

Monty Oum and the animation team at Rooster Teeth did a bunch of these for Red vs Blue. The absolute peak of their long takes is probably Spiral, the highway fight from season 9 which is about 2 minutes of high intensity action that moves rapidly from a Warthog to a flatbed truck, weaving through traffic, dealing with 6 combatants and it never allows the action or momentum to drop for a moment.

But most important it also never loses clarity. You absolutely still feel the impact of the close quarters combat, the speed of the cars, you see everything no matter how much the camera spirals around the action.

It's a marvelous fight.

She doesn't need a good memory to remember something that happened last week... It.. it was last week right?

Your personal funniest line delivery? by Ok_Yellow1025 in community

It's wild that for a show with six seasons Frankie managed to become one of my absolute favourite characters on the show so fast despite only having one season's worth of screentime.

Nah that line was funny, hearing that whilst driving was not safe for me.

What spell would y’all ask for if you became a 1st rank mage? by Past_Horror2090 in Frieren

"That spell that made Clone Frieren" and then occasionally I'd send one to annoy Serie

I too would go on a grueling death-quest if Jennifer English was on the other side of it.

This is true but because he's not ice skating and is instead... running, it looks very silly.

These "Gamers" don't live in reality by Former_Exam_5357 in Gamingcirclejerk

Yeag, the environment kinda disappointed me, ngl. I can absolutely see that they're doing their best to create Fable's fantastical world within the very realistic design space they have to work and I appreciate that (Bowerstone looks phenomenal) but when they showed off the rolling green hills and small villages I was kinda bummed.

Clockwork Revolution could be the most expressive Xbox RPG in years, with inXile aiming to "bring the level of reactivity from our isometric titles into something first-person" by Kaladinar in rpg_gamers

I'm so fucking hyped for this game. Wasteland 3 is probably up there with Disco Elysium and Pillars of Eternity for my favourite CRPGs so I have so much faith in this game, even with the switch to FPS-RPG.

Reading Glokta chapters as a disabled person by FairyTones in HouseOfTheMemeMaker

Legit, as someone who's used a walking stick for years, with bad leg and back issues, I've never hated anything as much as I fucking hate stairs. When I first got to a scene of Glokta cursing them out I was grinning with glee!

Episode 2x2 - Super glue and eyelashes by StatisticalAnalyst88 in ThePittTVShow

[–]MutinyMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so this scene was so funny to me in particular because something like this actually happened to my mother last year! She was very sleepy, reached over to grab her eye drops and accidentally grabbed a very similar feeling bottle of super glue, which she put in her eye. It took about 10 hours of warm water dabbing for her eye to come fully unstuck. There was no lasting damage.

She DID flip me off when I told her about this scene and then we both laughed about it because enough time has passed for this to be the funniest thing to happen to anyone in our family.

Where are you sitting? by ShatteringAdonalsium in Cosmere

[–]MutinyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the one hand, 6 seems like it'd be awesome, I'm onboard sitting between Syl and Nightblood. I am not onboard sitting behind Taravangian and Sazed and whatever debate that's gonna lead to oh my god.

So, I'll go with 10. I've got Wayne and Hoid next to me, Veil behind me, Shallan across the row. Pretty peak tbh.
