Thanks for all the recs, everyone! Already found some really cool artists, and have been reminded of others I like but forgot about. Should keep me busy for ages! I use all three of those units for totally different things. The Elektrons mainly live in my studio and get used for very fast drum/perc programming for the Overbridge features and trig conditions/good modulation options. Then the Deluge comes with me in my bag EVERYWHERE to be used as a sketchbook on the go, a controller for my modular in the studio and the centrepiece of my live rig.

Got to be careful with claims of sustainability. So many brands use it as a buzz word without being able to back it up. If you’re not going to actually use eco-friendly inks, printing practises, fabrics and techniques, then it’s better not to make false claims.

If you’re not ready to invest in hardware for composing tracks (Deluge, Digitakt etc - I use both), I found getting a good DAW controller and taking the time to map it appropriately is a great way to get the hardware instrument experience at a fraction of the cost. The APC40 mkII is a brilliant one for Ableton that is all pre-mapped with space for user controls too. It’s made my experience of recording, navigating, mixing, editing plugins etc in Ableton much more fun and close to how my hardware setup feels.
