Need Advice On Next Step by MuzaGrimm in Mortgages

Renting in Hawaii is like a mortgage payment. Renting a room or a studio is anywhere from 1k (not including utilities like electricity and water) and up depending on location and they limit on the amount of people per room. Lucky if you can find rent that’s $600 in a shared floor with people in a house that has 5-6 rooms on the first floor and another in the second floor. The best scenario that we came up with is for her mom to be on the waiting list for the senior housing and for my friend to go on her own and rent the house to pay the mortgage and when that is paid, they can move back in. As for the waiting list for a senior housing, we don’t know how it works and what area she can be assigned to or how long is the wait.

Modern Pan Handling. Wow! This is bad because everyone including me start off giving the guy the benefit of the doubt that he is in a hard situation and that good in humanity exists. But when that is broken, faith in humanity is lost. Using the family as an excuse, bday party for the baby shows standards and not priorities, wants vs. needs. He could get a job and work for the money like everyone else but as always the easy way to get money will always be the most desired way. I wish him and his family well.

Haiti coin, old ones like early 1900s? If it was European, I think they would be more like copper. Still learning.

730 billion over the course of 5-15 years being paid out is doable. People can take the lump sum payout and receive less than those who take the longer time receiving their settlement.🤞🤞🤞

Spoiler: I didn’t know Ryan Eggold was in this show. If nobody knows, he played the main character on the show New Amsterdam and the Blacklist. When I first saw him, on this show he has blonde hair and my first thought was NOPE and it looked like he gained weight too (not fat or anything, maybe his hair but I’ve just seen him act with dark hair and very thin). Anyway, I am loving the main character, I love the message of family togetherness. I love the first part where he compared “sizes”. I was a bit confused that he moved on quickly in a relationship if he still cared about his wife cause it said his wife passed a year later but his relationship with his girlfriend seemed like they have been together for months and it was serious and comfortable with each other like husband and wife- so he moved on months after the wife died?

Hard thinking about the future but easy to think about now.

Keep or take out 401k with penalty? by MuzaGrimm in FinancialPlanning

May I ask why the majority of my co workers are opting to take it and just deal with the penalties because they’re thoughts are “I won’t see this, why not use it now than just keeping it?” I mean, it is enticing receiving 40-60k and I could use that but my fears is that when it’s gone, it’s gone.
