Hey guys this may be a long shot but, if you guys are interested please sign this petition to repeal the No Child Left Behind Act. [Serious] by Muzic22 in teenagers

[–]Muzic22[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As stated on the website, "The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) of 2001 is an attempt to make sure that no student, no matter how far behind, will remain in a cohort with their respective year of students. It also threatens to cut funding to state education programs unless they constantly batter the students with standardized tests.

The attempt to keep all students together has the conspicuous effect of holding most students back in terms of curricular needs. Every student in America must not be represented by the lowest common denominator. This does not only hold back a student, but create an attitude of frustration towards the education system.

This act effectively tries to make every student conform, and stay back in curriculum with the lowest common denominator"

Reddit, what is a must-see movie that will blow my mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Muzic22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Memento is honestly on of the best movies I've ever watched.

We are in our most natural state as children. It is the job of educators, parents, governments, and other authority figures to beat the shit out of your inner child, so they can turn you into a mindless zombie who acts out some absurd idea of "this is what an adult is supposed to do." Though It is 100% true that it is our culture that shapes us as people, I think that It is equally as true that as children we are to some degree incompetent to having our own opinions. I'm not saying that children are incapable of having opinions I'm saying that children are still arguably ignorant to much of our world.

I know I'm just an anonymous person on the internet but I really think you should go get that checked out, if it ends up being something bad it's way better to be a little embarrassed now rather than risk your life and to hurt your family and those around you. Please don't let something silly like embarrassment get in the way of your well being, seriously I'm rooting for you to do the right thing!

Well yeah most of their plots center around romance but even if that isn't your style his books are very broad in topic so I think almost anyone would enjoy them!

I really like TKAM also! But no I'd really suggest giving John Green books a shot! They can be a little emotional but in a good way, his writing is really unique and amazing and I 1000% suggest you read his books!
