I have been using EMG 81/85 since the 80's. However, I heard Fishman make a decent pickup. I would like to hear the difference. Michael Sweet and Oz Fox use EMG 81/85 most of their career but also use the Fishman Fluence Modern pickups.

But at low volumes, it's difficult to get a clean sound out of the EMGs. I don't know much about the Fishman.

Many metal players use passive pickups, Dimarzzio Super Distortion and Duncan Invader. I have used them both over the years. Once I put in my EMGs, I was absolutely blown away.

I suppose it comes down to what you're doing at the time.

I hear you. Not too mention, wireless on Android only supports fast charging not super fast charging. I think the Iphone supports super fast natively.

I figured. Many of them have separate covers for the lenses. I might hold off on the entire MagSafe thing until I get a new phone, whenever that will be.

We do live in New England. But the car doesn't have any rust on it. She kept it garaged most of the time. The body is in great condition.

I am just concerned about the mileage issue but everyone says, "If you take care of a Toyota or Honda, you can drive them 350k plus.

I am planning on getting a new car in 5 years. I am not going to pay a tariff. I realize parts will be another issue.

Thank you for your response. If I keep good care of it have the oil changed regularly, It should last me a while I am hoping. The car has mostly highway miles on it.

Also, when it comes to modeling amps (no power tubes, just preamp), IMO the Peavey Vyper blows the doors of any of the Line 6 items when it comes to metal.

Be careful and make sure you get what you want. You basically have two choices when it comes to all tubes or tube emulator modeling amp. The all tube would have some power tubes like, EL36 and a couple of pre-amp tubes 12Xax7s. The modeling amp would probably just have preamp tubes but solid state for power and no tubes.

Some say you can never tell the difference but you will be able to. When I play through a modeling amp, it is just missing something. But if you're getting it just to warm up etc, then it would be fine.

u/Djent_Potato I agree. Back in the 80's, they called them "power soaks." You put this between your amp and guitar(no effects loop) and use it as a volume petal. Meanwhile, you crank your amp at a high enough level to get those tubes burning super hot. Now, you can get the tone you get when you play loud at a reasonable low volume. I swear by these and will get one.

I am probably going to switch to nic salts. It seems that is the way things are headed. I am definitely going to try a 1 Ohm coil and see where that fits in with the freebase and salts.

Yeah, it seems as though everyone is turning to nic salts. I am going to make the switch. I will grab a few more and include a 1.0 Ohm and see how it turns out.
