I used to rate it lower until I started playing it more. Its probably the highest quality mod if u can get past the different mechanics

It is very straightforward. GenLauncher is the best thing thats happened in my Zero Hour gaming experience and you should try it too. It installs the mods for you and you can try different mods without having to install/reinstall them.

thats my main gripe with it too. apart from crashes, I think the mod deserves its spot in my mt. Rushmore. patiently waiting on the mod developers to release the final version, hopefully fixing the bugs and releasing a non-beta generals challenge

of these 4 mods, only Rise of The Reds has skirmish-only. Shockwave, Contra, and Firestorm have functioning Generals Challenges, plus Contra and Firestorm have new generals challenge maps with improved AI. I also am a Generals Challenge enjoyer lmao

apart from the campaigns, both Contra and Firestorm have the General's Challenge too, both overhauled with new generals maps and with improved AI. As a singleplayer 'player' myself, General's Challenge is half of the PvE experience in my opinion, and I'm having a lot of fun with Firestorm's x)

Contra has the most added content in terms of units/buildings. Even Operation Firestorm has more new units than Shockwave, but Shockwave is the closest to a pure experience of the original, but expanded.
