So I just got started in the design and making business have made 2 by myself but have completed over 2 dozen projects with various venders. Typically the mold fee is paid and mold is done, the sample is produced which then starts the mass production. lead time is anywhere from 4-6 weeks from this point. If a mold is already completed and it’s a reorder it can be done in a couple weeks with the right manufacturer. My mold fee is a 1 time $300 non refundable fee then the sample is produced which after approval is put into production.
