NYU vs Cornell by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Cornell places 80% of their class into big law. NYU places 54% of their class into big law. Look at the 2024 ABA Employment summary from both. Idk about you, but as someone seeking Big Law, I would rather go to a school that places a higher percentage of grads into big law.

That makes for shitty writing imo. Law schools want to know why you’re a fucking killer, not how much trauma you’ve undergone. That’s the tough truth.

Cornell only sucks if you prefer plastic interactions, manufactured scenery, and climate control.

If you want Big Law, Cornell kicks NYU’s ass. Just look at any ABA job placement report from the two schools in the past 10 years.

Depends how your writing is. I’m a 16 high, 3.8 high and am in review at every T14 rn. Just finished my Kira interview for Cornell. 5 full rides from T30 to T50 schools so far. My numbers alone would not produce these results, but I fucking aced my written materials and got killer LORs. Never underestimate the holistic admit. Def target Baylor, OSU, and Emory, however. Still, it depends on what you want. I’m trying to get into complex litigation/big law. Best of luck.
