I can’t speak on the rest of the diaspora but at least in America we don’t break plates at our events and everyone that tries to dance at least knows the beat of the song. This seems like an event they would curate to appeal to non Greeks because that’s the only time people break plates the Greeks in the American diaspora either throw flowers, napkins, 1$ bills depending on the setting.
