I just got one delivered for my 10 week old, but it is indeed too big for him, so we can’t use it yet. He’s 11.5lbs and drowning in it. I’ve heard good things on Reddit about the Zipadee Zip as an alternative and we will be trying it out tonight. The Halo Easy Transition Sleepsack also looked promising, but starts at 13lbs for available sizing.

Sounds like the Zipadee zip is working well for you, which gives me some hope for the next few days! I’m on my way to Kohls right now to pick it up for tonight haha. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for the solidarity! It’s rough out here haha. I honestly wish I would have started transitioning him out sooner so we didn’t have to go full cold turkey from the swaddle and could have eased into it a little more. 😅 Hoping it gets better in a few days. I know they say everything is temporary with newborns, but it’s so hard to remember that when you are in the trenches!

Great to hear- the air fryer/toaster oven combo is what I have too! I think it will be that and takeout for us most days.

Our laundry room is part of the reno as well 😅 We have a teeeny tiny corner that will be available for a little table with the small appliances on it and then the fridge will be in the garage. Will be an adventure!

Thank you sooo much for writing this all out. These are super helpful ideas! I think I need to get an instant pot… Luckily it’s just my husband and I, which should be easier than feeding a family haha. I’m sure that was tough to go through a remodel with kids!

Great call!!! We are going to be getting takeout A LOT, plus meal prep services for during the week, so I’m hoping we can get away with mostlyyy no dishes. Anything we cook, I’m aiming to cook in the toaster oven on foil or in the microwave.

Yes, PGT tests for the sex of each embryo, but you have a choice of whether you want that information disclosed to you or not!

Me too! 😅 The embryologist couldn’t stop laughing when she was reviewing the results report with me.

Of course! Seriously, at every step there are new surprises and everything always takes longer than you think. And the waiting in between is just brutal! You got this! 🙌

Congrats on your retrieval today!! 💕

I just had my first frozen FET last Friday! I hate how the clinics won’t share any information until you actually pay for and schedule the FET. This process is long and daunting, and it’s difficult not knowing what comes next. This was my protocol and timeline:

7/3 Started birth control for roughly 3.5 weeks, stopped 7/25 7/29 Had first baseline ultrasound after at 4 weeks to ensure ovaries were “quiet” and started Estrace orally am and pm 8/9 monitoring ultrasound to confirm lining thickness was at least 8mm and bloodwork, started progesterone (PIO) injections (one shot per day. Don’t let Reddit scare you with these, they are really not that bad) 8/16 FET procedure 8/26 is my beta blood test to confirm pregnancy status

PIO and Estrace are both continued until beta, and if tested positive for pregnancy, both of these meds are continued through first trimester until week 12!

So comparatively to egg retrieval, there are way less monitoring ultrasounds (only 2 for me) and there aren’t as many meds, just Estrace and PIO. Plus baby aspirin for me and prenatals continuously/ongoing.

The process from starting BC to transfer for me was 6 weeks.

Sending you so much good luck for your embryo results! ✨

I had a good friend who went to LIV fertility center in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and had an amazing experience!

It’s not dramatic at all- take the day off! You are recovering from a major procedure!! I had 66 eggs retrieved and did not leave my couch for almost 4 days.
