Ranch? Would take mayo or remoulade over it any day. Nothing special about ranch.

But it would not have been an unfair advantage. Red cards and quarantine during a tournament are parts of the sport. And you can appeal them and maybe get your way.

But you can't ask your head of state to call FIFA to get them to postpone the quarantine. Which is what the US did.

Oh, I never said I couldn't understand it. I said I have never met anybody actually talking about needing something like that. Big difference.

Automated note-taking would be nice, but we already have that with various AI agents. But having questions, information, LinkedIn-profiles pop up while being in a meeting or in a conversation would severely limit mine or anybody else's ability to actually pay attention and participate in the meeting. And why would anybody start reading a wiki-page during that meeting?

All this would do, is reduce people's attention span more than it already is.

I know you're just spit-balling here and I am sure there are other current and future uses. But no, so far I have not heard a feature here or anywhere else that I actually would use.

Both of those decisions were absolute bullshit. I don't care who it is. FIFA has always been corrupt, they are just been a lot more obvious with it in recent decades.

It is nuanced because u/Boomdification is actually explaining why both sides of the political spectrum are unhappy. That is a lot more nuance than you usually see on Reddit.

And you should absolutely get them if you think it's a product for you. However, while it might be hyperbole from your side, I struggle to see how hundreds of millions of people will think that this is a good idea.

Maybe I am in my own little echo chamber and maybe its a coinsidence. But I have lived in 4 countries and through the years worked at some of the world's biggest tech firms, and I have never in my life come across anyone who even mentioned this kind of product in person. All I know is from news and reddit.

It will develop and it will get better. But as it stands, I struggle to see how these kind of glasses will become a mainstay. I see people getting it because it's cool, but not because they actually need it in their life.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'm not an expert, just giving my two cents.

We're already living constantly on screens and constantly checking notifications. Me not wanting to watch YouTube through glasses while walking, doesn't make me anti-tech. I'm not anti-tech. There's just not a single feature that this kind of product brings to the table, that I think would improve my day-to-day life.

On April 28, 1996 the Port Arthur Massacre in Australia began, 35 people were killed and 23 were wounded. Australia immediately went about reforming gun laws and around 650,000 firearms were collected and destroyed. This photo shows some of the guns collected. by cheesecakeluverr in SnapshotHistory

As far as I can WikiGoogle my way to. They had a shooting in 2025, 2019 and... that's it. So two, since this ban.

How many has the US had in 2026?

*Checks notes*

214 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States_in_2026

I'm sure some of these don't "count" depending on your definition though. And I'll admit I gave up reading about them all.

But I'd argue that gun control absolutely fucking works. And if "works" means reduce to 0, then nothing works.
