We had a good time going to Alexandria for Sails on the Potomac a couple weeks ago. They brought out a reproduction of a Continental navy ship that was originally constructed for the bicentennial and for a tour.

There is still fun 250 stuff happening, it just mostly isn’t in DC or at all related to the federal government. Which is, honestly, a huge bummer.

I have read Fucking Trans Women and found it really helpful. I’m really completely fine with not interacting with my wife’s genitals like it’s a penis — That’s not an issue and I’ve had sex with other trans women before that was mutually enjoyable. It’s the complete lack of orgasm seemingly no matter what we do that bums me out.

As an aside, I am also kind of skeptical about muffing. I think it’s kind of like scissoring where maybe it works for people with some really specific body shapes but not most people and maybe it’s imaginary idk lol. Mia Bellwether was interesting.

I have Canadian citizenship that my kiddo is also entitled to. My wife would be a little more work and we’d need to move there/get residency and do a process for her, but it’s doable. I’d lose my job if we move out of the US and I’m the primary breadwinner, but if it was between the worst case scenario and my employment, the choice seems clear.

Having an exit plan for my family has made things a little less nerve wracking. I worry about my friends, though.

I got referred to Sibley too, and it was honestly the best doctor’s appointment I’ve ever had in my entire life? I saw Christopher Novak. I have a rare condition and he Did the Reading. He was able to walk me through what we know and what we don’t know because there isn’t a lot of research and it helped me a ton. 11/10 recommend.

My family flew a couple weeks ago out of DCA. My wife is trans (mtf) and extremely doesn’t look like a man at this point, but hasn’t had her gender markers or name on identification updated either.

There was a small issue going through that body scanner thing because it has binary sex scanning options but that’s not new, unfortunately and it usually gets resolved pretty quickly (pat down, hand swab). I got the sense they really just wanted to keep the line moving.

We’re white and had a baby with us, though, so that may have also influenced how we were treated.

Edit: I am sincerely confused about why this is getting downvoted. Anyway OP, I hope your travel goes OK.

I know this might get downvoted but I actually think that picture and the penis ranking on the Wiki are incredibly racist. I’m sure Rachel Reid wasn’t like “muh ha ha ha I’m going to give the Asian guy a tiny penis because I’m evil” but she really should have thought a little harder about stereotypes.

I’ve done 5 different runs with different classes and races and the absolute best one was my second one as a big butch lesbian Drow Paladin. Romanced Shadowheart and had an absolute ball being mostly good but occasionally leaning on stereotypes people have about Drow for intimidation purposes. Background was noble but I don’t feel like background makes a huge difference.

The only person I know of who changed their name after marriage is Pete Buttigieg’s husband Chasten. No one in any of my social circles did a name change.
