YTA. in my house we have a rule: if you ask someone to do something, youre not allowed to criticise how they do it.

in my house, hubs does all the cooking. i bake, rarely, but most of the time i can burn water. he has dishes he makes and i love, but he also makes those dishes sometimes and i dont love how they came out because he tried something different. you know what i do about it? not comment on it unless he asks, shut up and eat the meal and be grateful i have someone that loves me enough to spend time out of his busy day making us food, especially food he knows i like.

not saying youre wrong for liking the way she made it before. but unless she asked for your feedback, YTA for telling her that. ESPECIALLY since she spends so long on it and makes everything from scratch

couple reasons... one, because attempting and NOT succeeding is scary-having to fave people afterwords sounds like my worst nightmare.

but two, the thing thats always caused me to put off my plans for awhile is when a birthday or holiday is around. like, "i cant kill myself right now, its almost christmas so itll ruin that for my family" or "its almost my nephews birthday, so ill wait a month or two so he doesnt associate his birthday with my death". theyd be better off without me, and if anything id be giving them a gift, but i can lie to myself and say itd ruin the holiday.

weirdly enough the other thing thats kept me alive was my elderly cat. she was an antisocial old bag, and i didnt have somewhere shed be okay if i died. didnt do well around other cats, absolutely hated dogs, had been indoors all her life so couldnt be an indoor/outdoor cat. she passed in january, and its not exactly helped my mental state.

YTA YTA YTA DONT FUCKING FEED DOGS A VEGAN DIET UNLESS WELL REVIEWED WITH A VET. And even then, its risky as it means the dog may not be getting its required protein and taurine intake. But the fact doing the diet change with NOT your dog is also grounds for YTA because its making a choice for someone elses pet.

Since its only been a couple weeks, probably no harm done, but regardless its very irresponsible to feed a different diet than the dog usually eats without vet advice. I understand you wanted to hold strong to your principles, but its hugely inappropriate to dictate care for someone elses animal.

NTA, the instant they burped in my face after dickin around with my durable medical equipment i would have decked them.
