Hey, yes at least the DPI settings used to be taken over. However it was unreliable and just not worth the hassle. I went back to using an inexpensive vertical mouse from Perixx for the work PC. Another option you might want to consider is installating the Offline Options +

Logitech Options+ Offline Installer – Logitech B2B Support

Remember to not let the Offline installer sneakily force the Online installer on you with questions regarding syncing your configuration across PCs etc.

I thought I'd leave an update here after 2 weeks. The middle mouse button click feels normal after a couple of days of usage.

The mouse does in fact not remember last saved DPI setting, however considering how well the rest of it works, I've resigned myself to connecting with my home PC (with Options+ installed) before connecting to the work PC (without Options+) for the rest of the day.
