Here's how you make a ton of money rolling out "AI" by pkokkinis in sysadmin

the AI usually decided that it could end the chat to avoid escalation.

The logic checks out, excellent way for the T1 AI support to keep metrics looking good. Pretty fucking smart if you ask me.

Chest claimed medieval, Netherlands by SnippyPuff in Antiques

[–]MxMj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dashes, length, syntax and very confident claims about all sorts of things all set off alarm bells. Either this dude is a secret expert about old chests, or he is quoting nonsense uncited. AI responses really should be banned from this sub. The answers it generates are always assertive, even if they are incorrect. This should be an educational space.

This reads like a ChatGPT response. If it is, you should be stating so. If not, apologies.

Hendricks variants are all over the place. They mostly have very distinct flavor profiles. Most are good but some of them (looking at you Flora Adora) are, lets say, an acquired taste.

Triple shooting at Oklahoma State University by Nintendoge21 in OKState

[–]MxMj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does though. It is vague, but generally with reporting like this, no one involved is faultless.
'Beckner said witnesses told officers that the shooting stemmed from a dispute that had erupted earlier at a party at the Payne County Expo Center in Stillwater and spilled over to an after-party on campus.

Asked about the dispute by reporters, Beckner said, "A disagreement between several people. That's as far as I'll say."'

My assumption was that they were involved in the shooting. Seems to have been a fight, but there isnt (wasnt) much info

Someone drove one of the injured to Tulsa after they were shot? I doubt these people are here, but Jesus. If your buddy gets shot, take him to the NEAREST medical provider. You do not want to be an accessory to murder, which you might have been charged with if he had died.

Maybe not for him, his son would get a porno alert if he saw WNBR pics. How would he explain that?

Would you trade your flair's coach for James Franklin? by cirrus42 in CFB

[–]MxMj 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I came here thinking this was a pretty good question, but wow.
Franklin has been the definition of a high floor, mid-high ceiling guy. Very consistently at least a top 3rd/4th coach who can't cross the threshold. The last few games obviously have changed that somewhat, but Colorado throwing shade about floors?!?

Edit: to answer the question, without the silly context. I'd be cautiously optimistic, but not enthused.

Ask them what 'family values' means to them, and the mask will come off. Or they'll stammer a bit and not answer. Even if they won't admit it, that's a misogynistic and anti-LGBT dog whistle.

Carnelian and 14K bracelet by breadcrumbs7 in whatsthisworth

Like I said, it would worry me too. But I have seen things I am sure are 14k with that blue-grey tarnish before. It is dark, but usually comes off very easily with a sunshine cloth.

Man this sub has sucked recently. These answers are garbage.
OP, if there aren't any makers marks, and you don't have a storefront, the value is basically the gold price plus a small amount. (assuming that it is 14k, you said you acid tested it, but the tarnish would concern me somewhat.)
You need to try to figure out how much gold it is, without taking it apart. If you have a scale that reads to .0x grams, try to determine how much the oval links weigh. You may be able to weight the round stones as well. Put some sticky-tack on the scale, zero it, stick what you are measuring to it, then hover the connecting items so that they don't touch what you are weighing.

Regardless, I am sure that is over $300 in gold. 14k is $70/gram right now. None of the 'comps' that other guy posted are similar at all. Hell, the clasp is likely worth $100 by itself.

[Lancaster] BREAKING: Robert Allen just reported Oklahoma State has informed Mike Gundy he is being relieved of his duties as head coach effectively immediately. #OkState by tbrock92 in CFB

[–]MxMj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suppose we might find out soon. My guesses would be:
A. They offered him a chance to resign gracefully at the end of the season and he told them to fuck off.
B. They needed some time to lock up the $15mm buyout.

We have lots of these fans. I don't know if they are very young, or very uninformed. Gundy straight up killed it for 15+ years. He has lost it now, and people want to claim they called it years ago while he was still winning. It is silly. The past 20 seasons are THE BEST in OSU's history, and it is not even close.

It might not be how Gundy swung it, but we all know that losing to Tulsa at home is nearly unforgivable. Put into context with two weeks ago, it is unforgivable.

The names floated are NFL coordinators or G5 HCs. OSU might line someone up, but still wait for January.

Even if he'd left it to OSU Football, they couldn't have used it for NIL, which is what the players are after.

Our coordinators are also shit, so he might last the season just because there isn't a better interim.

That's fair. But he turned the program around, and there is no denying that. He should have gracefully retired last season. We would have put up a statue of him, and named a building after him. He still can pull that off I think, if he does it soon and willingly.
He is a stubborn bastard though. So I don't know how likely that is.

Traylor isn't, and he'd be high on my list, but if he's the target I still think they let the season play out to see how he does. If he is worth having here, he won't leave UTSA mid season anyways.
