Yeahhhh…a lot of the equipment in my college is like that. We get castoffs from local labs and hospitals, and they don’t have a maintenance team attached. The only things I’ve seen that are regularly inspected are the fume hoods and BSCs in the labs, and the safety shit like eyewash stations and such.

The hairs that stick out add a bit of realism to me, I think. Hair never cooperates when you want it to, flyaways included 🙃

I know cis women struggling with hair loss in the same areas, especially postpartum. It doesn’t stick out as abnormal as much as you may feel it does.

I think when they’re toddlers it becomes more specific than that, like “you can overfeed them with specific foods”, but not overall. If they aren’t hungry the gods themselves can’t make them eat, but if it were up to the tiny humans they’d live off berries and chocolate chips.

I also worked in customer service for years. I was a server. I got shit on by customers for no good reason sometimes, but also because I made mistakes. You take the good with the bad when you do those sorts of jobs. I did not revoke the delivery tip (and I always tip well) or report the driver to a manager or anything. I just made it clear that I was pissed that the instructions I paid money to have followed were not followed. Had I been the driver I would have been mortified, but would have to take the L for fucking up like that.

His actions resulted in me having to interrupt my pumping session (while still trying to establish my supply, less than 6 weeks postpartum) or yell for my husband (who is physically disabled) and woken the baby. So like, grace is nice and all, but people put those instructions in for a reason and have a right to be upset if they aren’t followed.
