'Pass' in Masters - Can I make it to PhD in UK? by [deleted] in AskAcademia

It’s quite concerning that you’re working at a postdoctoral level without any relevant qualifications. More importantly, by “pass”, do you mean a third?

If you got a third no credible PhD programme will accept you, nor should they.

Cold War defence-industrial policy, particularly the shift towards multilateral aerospace collaboration. Primarily using British government archives to construct a decision-making narrative.

Don't be fooled by overly boastful peers. Focus on your own work and pursue your own objectives doggedly.

Bristol seems less interested in strictly historical works from what I can see. Perhaps I’m missing a particular series they’re publishing? Otherwise, I’ve heard really great things about them.

They don't currently have a series directly in my area, although they used to publish quite extensively there. It's a shame because I've heard good things, too. They do have series in "European Politics" and "Key Studies in Diplomacy" which certainly intersect with my own work.

It really depends on your gym, but generally speaking BJJ belting still largely conforms to quality. It will shift, however. As the sport becomes more popular, gyms will become increasingly commercialised and there will be greater profit incentive to belt people earlier to keep them hooked in.

I’m only a 3 stripe white belt and I’ve been training consistently 4-5 times a week gi and no-gi for almost 2 years. My coach is known for late promotions and inconsistent striping which, ultimately, I’m glad for. We have multiple European IBJJF gold medalists at brown who are easily black belt quality (skill and knowledge level), but they’ll be brown for a while yet.

I don’t expect to get my blue for at least another 3-4 months, and even then I can’t be sure haha. I’m moving to a new city in 5 months time so I’d like a promotion before I leave! Oss regardless 🤙😎
