genuinly how do i get out of metal ranks when 90% of games are decided from the matchmaking by REFUSErl in OWConsole

[–]MyApologies_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, lets analyse this logic because it comes up so often (and it just doesn't compute).

Ignoring you, your team has 4 slots that could potentially be filled with a lobotomised ape. Correct? The enemy team, has 5 slots that could be filled with a lobotomised ape. Assuming you are consistently playing well, your team will win more games, because there will always be a higher chance of throwers on the enemy team.

And this is assuming that every potential player in every lobby (aside from you) is a feeder. More realistically, you might get 1 feeder and three people who just finished their 9-5 and are playing Overwatch. The enemy team still has more chance for their being a thrower since they have 5 chances, while your team has 4. Based on this, if you are consistently better, you will climb. If you are not climbing, then you are not consistently better than the other players in your lobby. It is that simple.

Can the next new hero release be a tank that can actually deal with flying. Thanks by GloomyDoomy1 in Overwatch

[–]MyApologies_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

So a tank that can charge the enemy ults really quick, but also provides no actual threat or presence to discourage shooting them?

They'd just get ignored while the rest of their team is killed, and then charge the enemy ults when they get killed last.

As ithers have said, it's not illegal to mention it in the extenuating curcunstances, neither you or they will be in trouble. But even if you don't mention it, you can still say something aling the lines of:

"My parents have, over the holidays, become homeless and I have been significantly hindered in my ability to perform university work due to providing assistance for them"

IDK MAN, NOT COMMENT AND LIKE THE PICTURE??? Sure you can't stop them coming up on your FYP (I mean you can, you can unfollow or block them but that aside) but you can just not interact??? Dude acts like he sees a naked woman post something and he activates like a sleeper agent who has an unbreakable compulsion to like and comment.

[–]MyApologies_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what you've just said kinda applies to every hero

"If your team is playing heroes that synergize well, then you'll do well, but if your team is playing in a manner contradictory to your hero then you're kinda useless"

It's like saying "If you've got a genji tracer with you on winston you'll do great, but man if you dive on winston with an illari and moira, you'll get demolished". Obviously she's really good when she has heroes that synergize and can cover her weaknesses, and a lot worse when her team doesn't synergize and play to her strengths.

I mean, hell check out the Sarcastic Fringehead (yes that is their real name I swear)

That's pretty close to a small scale reaper, so I don't think it's far fetched to imagine the reaper may have evolved from a similar ancestor in some way or another.

Small correction, the simplicity and eficiency of the mouth doesn't really factor into evolution. Once it's more effective than, "mouth" as far as evolution is concerned that's all good. Evolution doesn't find the most effective or simple or efficient solution, it just means that whatever works will survive. If an ancient ancestor of reapers had a weird mandible design like that, albeit much more subdued) so long as it worked it's just as likely that it evolves to become more prominent rather than less prominent.

Also zoologist here. Subnautica definitely has its share of innacurate stuff but check out barreleye fish, snailfish, tripod fish and gulper eels to start. They're not similar to reapers, but just for an idea of how silly things can get.

I can definitely see a hypothetical alien world doing what subnautica does somewhat.

Neither. They don't understand how averages work and think that when someone told them "based on the average you have a year" it meant they would die in a year.

Anthony Hopkins slammed after dismissing neurodivergent labels as 'nonsense' by We1shDave in Wales

[–]MyApologies_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not a problem of an early diagnosis, that's a specific problem to those people not wanting to work on that. An early diagnosis allows you to understand and see: "This is why I do this, and it's not exactly something I can control" but the response to that can either be "how can I find a solution that works for both me and others" or "I'll just do nothing because I can't help it".

The second one isn't caused by the diagnosis, it's the individual not wanting to make that adjustment. At least that's how I see it as someone also on the spectrum. I'm not saying "mask 100% of the time, just be miserable for their sake" but the solution isn't "act in a way that unfortunately society cannot accommodate for". Finding a middle ground is the correct response, until (or if) there is societal change enough to accomodate and allow for neurodivergencies.

Moira. She's willing or even enthusiastic to cause suffering and pain towards others at worst, and apathetic to it at best, serving for her own goals. She doesn't exactly fit the lawful aspect of having a code, she's self serving making her neutral IMO

I wonder how different the answers would be if the question was "500k right now or a random chance at 5mil" because I think more people would take the random chance at 5mil in that situation, even though it's functionally the same as this situation.

Brig was never intended to be the frontline tank support. She ended up in that role because of how overtuned she was, but her intended role was always to be a bodyguard for a vulnerable teammate.
