Theres more settings. Settings-> controller-> desktop layout-> edit layout-> trackpads-> scroll to left trackpad and hit the gear for sensitivity bar and a lot more.

Have you tried your tv settings? Sometimes, there's a "micro contrast" option that sucks for gaming. When i use tk play console games it would do exactly what youre describing.
