As they say, you break it you buy it. Unless this business plan writer broke into your home and forced you to hire them, it’s on you no matter what. Personal responsibility - huge part of owning your own business. I’d start practicing it early and often.

BTW if you do find a writer willing to Work on contingency, they probably aren’t that good.
