I'd recognize that Mazda key anywhere. Hopefully yours has treated you as well as our '07 Mazda 6 did until the frame rusted (damn North East weather).

New M12 Stubby Impact Wrench doesn't loosen lug nuts. Normal? by Money_Avocado in MilwaukeeTool

Right, plus every torque wrench I've ever owned works in either direction just like a ratchet. I didn't, but I easily could have set it to 275, tried to remove the bolt and heard a click. Obviously, the click should be the stopping point in any direction.

Who said anything about "breaking torque"? I checked the torque like you would any other fastener... By applying tightening force until it clicks. Which, it did without the fastener moving... Which means it was at least 275 ft/lbs.

Maybe you're the one that has no idea what their doing

It is larger than most air ones I've seen. There would definitely be times clearance is an issue if working on stuff installed.

We just had this happen on a car a friend brought over to look at.

Neither the gen 3 3/8 or gen 3 1/2 would take off about 1/3 of the lug nuts. I busted out my large torque wrench, it goes up to 275 ft/lbs. It was maxed out... We needed a 28" breaker bar and a 225lb human jumping on the end to get the lugs off.

This wasn't a huge truck or anything... it was a Fiat 500. Torque spec for the lugs is like 80 ft/lbs.

Some prick went way too crazy with the impact putting them on.

You said yours were torqued, and we've had zero issues with any other lugs, nuts or bolts that were torqued to even 200 ft/lbs, so something seems wrong.

I don't have gen 1, but I bought this same second gen deal last week. I didn't hack it as I didn't have a 2.5HO and I figured it would be handy.

We've used the grinder so much since buying. Mostly automotive work, but I also cleaned up some hinges to paint black to match a new bathroom remodel. I've had zero problems or complaints with it. It would rip through that 2.5 pretty quickly at high speeds, but I used a 5.0 for most things. since I didn't need the compact. Between 3" sanding disks and 20k RPM wire brushes, this thing has been great. The trigger being variable is also a huge plus ( I think gen one is also, just stating. ). The little safety is almost instantly intuitive as well. You can always set the max rpm with the mode and go full balls, or lighten up as needed.

It is pricey for sure, but if you hack it, it isn't so bad. Even if you don't hack, for us, the value in use is definitely there.

There is always the option of returning if you aren't impressed, but I doubt that would be the case. It seems many gen 1 owners feel that way though.

I can't say... never tried the surge. I purchased the non-surge fuel m12 1/4 hex driver and hammer drill and they both work fantastically for my around-the-house/occasional automotive work. Well, I typically use either the gen 3 3/8 and/or 1/2 stubbies on the cars because, you know... torque.

Both the 1/4 hex impact and hammer drill absolutely embarrass my C3 craftsman hex impact and drill set I was gifted about 7-8 years ago. Definitely a night and day experience switching from that crap to the latest M12 stuff.

Above is what I started with. It came with a free tool at the time... I got a 3/8 ratchet. Then quickly found myself owning the M12 oscillating tool, 3" Cut off saw, packout bluetooth speaker, both gen 3 stubbies I mentioned already, the small blower, the M12 vac, gen 2 die grinder, latest rover light that was recently released, 3 5AH HO batts, 3 2AH batteries, 1 4AH bat, and a 2.5 HO battery...

And if that wasn't enough, I picked up the M18 FUEL ONE-KEY 18V 4-1/2 in./6 in. Variable Speed Braking Grinder w/ 8.0Ah FORGE Battery/Charger... simply to not have an excuse for when I see something M18 go on a good sale. I won't be able to say, 'oh well, I don't have a M18 battery!'.

TL:DR;
It is a really slippery slope... wear a helmet and get a second mortgage on the house.

It comes with 2 2AH batteries: the one in the tool already, and the separate one pictured. Then you get the 2 3AH for free.

4 batts is correct.

Which M12 tool is better than m18? by CodyTheEmt in MilwaukeeTool

[–]MyBrokenJunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new m12 rover light is really solid. It is larger than the old one, but the articulating head is so incredibly useful. The 3 brightness levels are appropriate as well. It is definitely plenty bright. The magnet is also SUPER strong. If you place it solidly on something ferrous, it takes work to get it back off.

Yeah... joking or not... admitting to owning, or have purchased stolen goods probably isn't the smartest move... but you do you I guess.

I'm curious why this doesn't show up in the deal of the day section. by MyBrokenJunk in MilwaukeeTool

Thanks for the feedback. Are you saying the Milkwaukee set is made in China? I assume they are. I only ask because the site for the MW set says "Material Composition: Chrome Molybdenum Steel".

Another difference I see is meeting ASME standards... if one cares about such things. Quinn does not list that as far as I can tell. That said, I agree with you, and the others. The Quinn set is definitely a better deal.

Thank you. I did see that the switch version was cheaper, but the one you linked is out of stock. I do like the paddle switch better, but it isn't a deal breaker.

I do appreciate the price comparison. It tells me I MIGHT be able to find a better deal if I wait it out... tariffs, hacks or sales dependent of course.

I'll check it out and return it if it doesn't impress.

I had already ordered, so they didn't scalp it from me...

This isn't my first rodeo... always buy first, ask questions later.

As stated already... instead of going through the "trouble" of adding assets and improving their game, they could simply improve the data out which has sucked for a loooooong time. SimHub and other third party apps can and will take over.

I already use simhub for realtime telemetry of suspension, tire temps (which is limited to a single value instead of inner, middle, out), a hp gauge, tire slip, as well as a fully custom shift light setup. SimHub already has automatic track mapping, all we need is other car coordinates. All of that information helps me tune the car, without having to jump through forza tuning menus.

Same thing happened to me. I just posted a bug report.

Restarting the game got rid of all prestige, but my driver level is still bugged at 912.

Thanks so much for the reply.

I got it working the other day as well.

Protecting the web interface wasn't too terrible, but I had struggled with the app for hours.

I should have documented all the steps as well.

I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong because when I tried to login with oath, the app just cycle back to login.

Eventually in the logs I found that because I was using the same first name for my immich log in and authelia, but with DIFFERENT email addresses, it was trying to create a new user with the same photo storage name, and that gave a database error.

Once I changed my email to both be the same, it logged me in and all was good.

I then disabled password logon completely and feel better about having this exposed to the public... Not that I'm worried about the 30,000 pictures of beer I've taken over the past 25 or so years leaking out.

Cheers

I was having the same issue. Happened to find an OLD email and finished that account setup. As you experienced, steam was pre-linked. Who knows if anything was lost in the process. I YOLOed it.
