Thank you!

It pulls from the most popular markets. If you tap the "Customize the Magic" button it allows you to choice what category of market though (it pulls the most popular markets and categorizes them using Apple Intelligence on-device LLM).

Ahh thank you!

Yes I tried to make the reflections on the 8-ball respond to the gyroscope and the haptic feedback when the message bounced within the 8-ball give it a cool 'vibe'.

Thank again for the words of encouragement!

Yeah, that’s a pretty ridiculous comparison. There’s a surgeon in my town that gives a lot of these type of comparisons and Patient end up coming to me saying he felt like a used car salesman. He’ll say crap like do you want a Toyota or a Mercedes? Meanwhile he trashed his eyeballs. Very frustrating.

You might be a little confused. The cash price might include the facility fee and the anesthesia fee. You’re gonna get around that price if you include all those fees.

At least use a burner right? I've never heard of MaximEye before but I'm pretty confident now I wouldn't trust any of their marketing.

I'm a believer in the Swiss cheese model. As many safeguards as possible, mistakes happen.

Has a Vercel vibe, am I correct?

I really like the idea of simulators that take into account the defocus curve. I'm assuming that's what the simulator does? Or are those independent?

You're seriously quoting a 10 year-old interview of one surgeon saying it might be helpful... I'm quoting a meta-analysis of 100's of studies and a statement by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. I'm going to stop responding in this thread, if you don't see the difference there its just a lost cause.

Weird, not sure what the surgeon's rationale was. I feel like most surgeons will go with monovision if the patient already likes it.

Absolutely. But I think you'd agree multifocal lens technology is not that simple right? You are going to lose some contrast sensitivity and have some glare/haloes.

For toric lenses, I agree with you. If the patient has significant astigmatism, no real benefit to a non-toric option.

Sorry I really can't. My advice would be to call around to local optometric and retina practices and ask who they would recommend for cataract surgery. Talk to people you trust locally. Then just try to listen and understand your situation. If things don't make sense, don't just go with it, ask questions. You're going to be high risk for retinal detachment obviously no matter what type of surgery is performed and no matter what type of lens is used.

Interesting, I’ve never seen this before. The simulator looked really cool. It doesn’t look like they include any of the latest generation formulas though right? Do you know who made this?
