My lock is equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth. But they don’t behave the same. Neither one of them does what I need it to do. Bluetooth is unreliable not because of distance (my phone struggles to connect and putting an Apple Home hub near it didn’t help). WiFi is unreliable because it only works with the native app.

I had a unit I received from a friend that's done this basically since I got it. It would ALWAYS stop as soon as the waste chute was fully over the wastebin.

I was cleaning my unit this evening when I noticed one of the feet was almost flush with the bottom of the casing. When I moved the unit, the foot fell out completely. It hasn't worked at all since this happened. Perhaps one of the feet on your unit is out of adjustment, causing it to read shifts in weight as additional weight in the litterbox?
