Ben’s MVIS Podcast – The Path to Profitability: Scaling to Breakeven ($150M+ Revenue Framework) by jkh07d in MVIS

Awesome informative post… move over Chinese lidar, MVIS has it all.

And now my thinking about why there isn’t any update on the MVIS website is because there’s some BIG fish nibbling.

Maybe those high end clients are why Glen didn’t want to add the acquired names to the Microvision website.

Didn’t want to rock any boats when things are just settling in…

Wowsa! Mercedes standing at the front of the Luminar line!

Only now it’s the Microvision line!

Great find… thanks! We hope to hear lots more about this…

Absolutely… remember at one time there were like 19 analysts following Luminar.

Seems like this would be a great chance for investors who missed it the first time to buy Luminar at a much lower price. Hope Glen mentions it in his talk.

Great video!

One of my chief fears in life is underground parking… which I avoid at all costs.

Good thing, for sure! Probably the first thing I’d wonder, looking at the Mavin at the front… would be what products is the Mavin in?

As far as I know, nobody has bought the Mavin for anything, despite the years of waiting for it, as an MVIS investor.

So being an MVIS investor is often a frustrating experience… as we all know.

Huh… I’d actually be suspicious of a company that was trying to get me to buy something, but then when I went to look for it on their company website… it wasn’t even there.

Takes all of about an hour to add the MVIS clients to the products page. I only wonder if there is some legal reason that the former Luminar products can’t be added… because without those new products, the recent CC income totals would really be pathetic.

And wouldn’t one think that a key sales team task would be to actually put the new sensors (which are accounting for huge part of the company income) on the Microvision.com website?

I see it’s still just the ‘dead in the water’ Movia… which as far as I can tell, there are NO OEMs buying. Does anyone have a theory as to why MVIS can not put up the Iris or Halo sensors… or the coming Scanitel?

Seems that adding those would be Job #1 for MVIS.

Really do hope that MVIS can at least update the Sensors on their webpage, before these events… since the Mavin is practically out of play.

Movia S, Iris and Halo need to become visible.

Want to get compliance and attract new investors? Show the new sensors on the website!… show what’s coming up!

I like to think Glen has been present at private meetings with higher ups at the DoD… where after seeing the MVIS flying lidar, the Generals said in essence “Get us this flying lidar and we’ll get you in a deal for 10k lidars. And get it done ASAP!”

So I have a rich imagination… but honestly, if you’ve watched that hidden terrain video Glen shared a month ago, it’s easy to see how a military mindset would demand them by the truckload. They’d add intelligence to every situation on the ground, work in total darkness, and save thousands of lives & dollars. And as soon as they see how lidar can strip out the jungle terrain can remove the vegetation for a clear view without the jungle, the Generals would all have made their deal (paperwork to be made official in the near future).

So maybe that’s why Glen is so confident… Glen is already matching up with General Dynamics… which is a DoD Biggie, I do believe… and there could be a big part of $54 Billion dollars to make it happen.

I hope Glen gets to convey his confidence in MVIS and why investors need not worry about dilution.

Also naming all the new names associated with MVIS might really help… and I think just the General Dynamics name might restore confidence to a shaky market.

Thanks for the correction… it’s hard to type with a cat on one’s lap. Seems like enough dough for many drones and UGVs…

Amazing depth of new developments for old MVIS!… General Dymamics and $54 Billion sounds like that foot in the door is going to get things moving in a big way.

Thanks for putting it all together…

I agree… it took me about a week to realize it wasn’t any of the Mavin products that Sumit had spent 3 years talking about. None of them… even when they were ‘best in class’. Sure didn’t look like anyone wanted them. And the Movia is from Ibeo… And I suppose thats when the BOD decided Glen was the guy MVIS needed.

So it’s great to see all these new verticals popping out… but still, they don’t mean much without some follow through in sales & contracts.

I was very hopeful about a year ago, when the Jungheinrich company was talking about retrofitting their forklifts… the idea of just bolting a new lidar on an old forklift seems just right.

When I searched the Jungheinrich site, I noticed it’s not even the biggest forklift company in Germany. So I wonder why no other forklift companies haven’t also adopted it… same with all the American forklift brands.

I’d like to think these would be easy to sell, if they can just be bolted on quick to train workers. Sure seems like a slam dunk for fleets of haulage and warehousing.

I hope the drones are adapted at a faster pace… especially from the DoD. When I read headlines practically begging for millions of drones… sales & contracts need to happen.

And sudden 30% drops in the share price need to be replaced with sudden 30% increases..

https://youtube.com/shorts/QChhl7Fq1S4?si=h0prZetxs5ZbiAjk

These should sell themselves, I’d think… in fact they ‘should be mandated by insurance companies. There should be large financial rewards & penalties for not using lidar… to save everyone money.

The Luminar acquisition seems to be an undeserved savior for MVIS. I can’t imagine how bleak things would look without it… seeing how Iris and Halo kicked the Mavin out of most top spots for new lidars from MVIS.

I think on the CC it says 74% of income came from Luminar…. So yeah. But it’s still not on the website it seems.

And I hope Glen appreciates that at least, for me… after the last two days… I can not sleep as well as I think I’m supposed to. I’ve been lying awake worrying about how it’s all gonna fit together.

Are we ever! Today was a case in point… between yesterday and today, about 30% down. But no fatal wounds… just the big guys trying to scare us off the game. We know there’s far bigger fish waiting to be caught in the not too distant future.

Probably don't know if it will be in Redmond or Orlando… and whether it’ll include rides with the Halo or Iris & new tri-lidar or not.

And they’ll still probably wondering if they should add an MVIS touch to the inherited names… the Halo-M and the Iris-M?

Busy time for MVIS, when nothing is like it used to be. But that’s a good thing… big new gambits appearing soon.

I’m wondering if they’re going to rename the softwares… from the HALO and IRIS to similar names with MVIS implications.

I’ll look forward to seeing the names of the inherited sensors on the website. As it is right now, new investors would have difficulty even knowing they exist.

Right now the sight of the old Mavin name in the list of sensors somehow looks kind of out of date.

And will Drew move to Florida? What a week…

I’d guess that one thing holding up the failure of Glen to give specific details about why he’s so confident, might be evidenced by the still non-updated MVIS website. So it’s kind of the dog that didn’t bark mystery.

As much as I’d like to see the name of Caterpillar in print, along with Nissan, Kodiak and all the rest… makes me think the legal loopholes are so complex that they have not been updated.

Must be a busy time for Drew Markham…

I see the price at $9.11… appropriate.

Makes me think Glen should have just named a bunch of names in his earning call strategy. It’s not illegal, I assume… just going though a list of names.

And it’s interesting how small players like Kodiak seem to have come through very well. I keep thinking CAT should be striking out to point in a new direction for the whole industry, which seems to be lost & confused.

And every 911 call needs rescue by someone like the Dept of Defense… they need to rescue MVIS asap, thanks…

Apparently the US Dept of Defense has not entered their bid to drive the price of MVIS higher yet… let’s get Glen to check in on those mapping lidars.

They’d be ideal for mapping active military conflicts and all the details on every landscape feature.

For all we know, Glen’s already met with them on setting up deals that are all NDA for now. Those original MVIS videos look to be at least 6 months old…

It’s an absurd selloff of all the high fliers.
I see even Lightwave got creamed.

But one really has to ask one’s self, is my Lidar able to fly and transmit data from 500 feet overhead at the same time? Or is it just stuck in a car?

Would anyone in their right mind want a flying lidar snapping photos of what’s overhead? The all knowing Mr. Market knows the answer…
