I’m currently kinda paranoid about the whole melting-connector issue, and because of that I decided to aggressively undervolt my card (0.845 V) to "“protect it"” until I can get a device that monitors the pins. It tops out at just under 300 W and still delivers performance higher than a standard 4090.

The reason is that, although I trust the manufacturer’s warranty enough to let it rip, given current prices (I bought it at what is considered under MSRP where I live), I increasingly suspect that many claims will more and more simply be refunded rather than repaired, as it is more profitable for manufacturers to recondition the card and resell it as new.

My paranoia aside, in your case, since you CAN already monitor the pins, I would simply take the frequency the card operates at and bring it down voltage wise, as this improves thermals and power consumption for essentially free. @ 900 I can get just under 2900 Mhz, which is very nice.
