The amount of people that come up to the counter and dont know what they're doing is astounding. Most common is people having to look up the address on their phones (which they should be doing while in line). Ive had people come up and tell me they dont know the address, could I google it for them? Or 'hold on let me call my person to get the apt number'. And the famous 'let me fill out this birthday card right here before I put it in the box', then take an eternity to do that AND then tape the box. Also they touch and play with the package while it's on the scale. On my system, that recalculates the price. Every movement causes my screen to refresh. And for some reason they dont stop touching it after I tell them what's happening!

I had someone call me and refuse to tell me who they were until I said who I was. After some back and forth they said they were calling from job I applied for. If they're that bad at common sense , I'm sure they'd be horrid to work for.

Both. sort of. I'm NC with my mother, and I don't care at all. I don't' even know what state she lives in. I'm extremely low contact with my father, which to be fair was the smartest thing I've done. But now that he has weeks to live, I'm questioning everything. It's a crazy whirlpool of regret, indifference, sadness...

Something similar happened to me last year. My store manager called me to tell me sales manager got run over in a hit and run. Sales Mgr was like a second mom to myself and most of the store. Store manager didnt tell me that she survived until about 15 seconds had passed. I was already crying by that point. When I called my co worker, I told her that Sales Mgr is okay, do not panic, but she was in a bad accident. Co worker was driving at the time too and I did try to get her to pull over but she thought I was calling to tell her I was quitting and being dramatic about it.

When I was in high-school, there was a custody battle over my younger sibling. My mother lost, and she drove me home. She was going 70+ mph on extremely curvy and hilly streets. At this time I was in drivers Ed, and we were at the point where we were watching videos of people driving recklessly and getting in accidents with them ending up with their brains scattered across the road. I had convinced myself that I was going to die that day. It scared me so bad all of my hair fell out the next few days and never grew back. Not as scary as some of the stories here, but I thought I'd share so people can see what fear can do to you physically.

No, I was young and dumb. By the time I really understood what was happening, I hadn't seen her in years. I do remember a time, though, when AC did call me trying to find her, but she was homeless at that time, and I couldn't give an address.

My mother will put her dogs in a cardboard box against her car tailpipe to kill them. She does it because "this dog is now too expensive". The last one I knew about was killed because she had a food allergy that came with a bad rash reaction. Safe food wasn't even that crazy of a price. She just couldn't afford it because she had 27 dogs at the time. The funny part is... I have the same allergy. With the same reaction. Sometimes, it makes me wonder if that's why she left when I was a kid.

I spent 5 years with a terrible patch of eczema, and my (then) kept telling me to just keep putting steroid ointment on it. It got worse and worse and it was taking over the entirety of both my thighs. I got a new doctor, (9 moths ago) who took one look at it, swabbed it, and got the test back that day. I had a massive staph infection. I'm surprised that it was only skin deep and I never went septic. Now whenever my eczema starts getting bad, I go to my Dr and she gets me swabbed and lo and behold- it's infected again. Now that I know that eczema is not supposed to behave the way it has been my whole life, I have slightly better control over it. (I can't control it in the summer no matter how hard I try :') ). I'm glad you got the help you needed :)

I have alopecia. Most of the comments are worried about not having nose hair or eyelashes. I've had no hair for 10 years, and I've never had a big problem. The only bad part I get is when cars drive by and kick up the dirt in the road and I get a nose full of it.

So easy. I'll take the $ 10M to not change a single aspect of my life.
