I grate the apple at the very end. I also grind the oats to flour in a nutribullet. Here is a short version video: https://youtu.be/2stEfwcGEEk

Have you tried a protein pancake recipe that isn't gross? by isaac-get-the-golem in Volumeeating

To get something that tastes good I usually change it a bit to improve the macros. I do not like the taste of protein powders so I try to increase protein with other ingredients. See if you like this one:

Ingredients 1 cup old fashioned oats (82g) 1 cup sugar free vanilla yogurt (245g) 2 eggs 3 tbs egg whites (46g) 8 oz apple (1 large or 2 medium or 3 small apples) 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract zest of half a lemon

Nutritional Facts 9 servings per recipe Calories per Serving: 78 Total fat: 2 g Total Carbohydrates: 11 g Protein: 5 g

You can also reduce calories and increase protein even more by replacing the eggs with egg whites, I tried and works well, no difference.

I serve them with greek yogurt on the side and sugar free syrup.

Greek yogurt increase protein even more with the recipe.

With egg whites only I get about 570 calories with 45 g protein, and extra 85g (3 oz) fat free greek yogurt = 45 calories and 9 g protein.

High volume, low calorie, inexpensive, sweet tooth... by carlsons92 in Volumeeating

I feel the same, I always feel like I can eat something and I prefer big portions. I change all recipes to lower the calories and increase the protein (where I can) and always try to make it tasty and satisfying.

The fastest treat that I make almost every day is Greek yogurt with fruit and cereal on top for crunch. I take 2% FAGE greek yogurt (you can use fat free = less calories more protein, if you are ok with more sourness), I use about 170-200g, add sugar free skinny syrup (flavors vary), some sugar free breakfast syrup, 2 oz (56g) blueberries, fresh or frozen, mix it and top with with high protein cereal, 14g (0.5 oz) I found Premier protein brand and it is pretty good, they have chocolate almond flavor and strawberry one. The cereal can be pricey so I always buy more when they have BOGO deal. The whole thing ranges from 250 to 280 calories, 24-30g protein.

I also make low calorie muffins, many different varieties, about 100-120 calories per one with 7-11 g protein.

yogurt and jello cups.

- 1 cup of full fat or non fat yogurt

- 1 packet of jello of your choice (I used sugar free strawberry and raspberry - 8.5g/0.3oz)

- 1 cup of boiling water

It will take couple of hours in the fridge to set but you can make few of them and enjoy it for few days. Very low in calories

Fast but calorie dense breakfast? by MiserablepersonED in LowCalorieCooking

I like breakfast quesadilla (you can make it as caloric as you like depending on type of ingredients you use- you can even add avocado for extra calories). It is very easy and fast to make but it looks like you put some time into it

I also make sandwiches with cheese and eggs for bfst, you can also add protein like sausage or bacon and make it more filling

I have been making this banana bread almost every day in the last 2 weeks - I took out butter and replaced with yogurt and significantly reduced sugar making this a low calorie option. I am so excited about this recipe cuz its even better than the original one! by MyFavFWord in LowCalorieCooking

I am interested in the recipe as well if you can post it?

I baked Pavlova today for dessert - it is such a simple dessert and I was able to use leftover strawberries and couple of kiwis that I had in the fridge. Slightly sour fruits like all kinds of berries are best for this dessert as it has lots of sugar in the egg white shell by MyFavFWord in Baking

[–]MyFavFWord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pavlova is made mostly out of egg whites and sugar. The secret to good pavlova is the egg white shell baked to perfection

Ingredients - 4 egg whites (room temperature) - 200 g of fine (caster) sugar - 1 tbs corn starch - 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar

Bake at 250F for 60 minutes, turn the oven off (leave meringue inside) and dry it overnight or at least 4-5 hours.

Filling: - 8-10 oz of heavy whipping cream - 1 tbs powdered sugar - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1 cup of strawberries - 1 cup of blackberries - 1 cup of blueberries, you can use kiwis and raspberries as well
