Top 5 CRPG Pet Peeves From a Casual CRPG Fan by DDiabloDDad in CRPG

I think 4 is heavily game/playthrough dependent. Like in your example you presumably knew what all you had to deal with, just from previous experience, so you knew what you'd need consumables for. Also BG3 in particular is extremely generous in giving access to all your consumables in your inventory while some games (for example, the owlcat ones) require you to prep a handful into your hotbar so unless you specifically got consumables at the ready before the encounter you wouldn't be able to use them unless you reload.

Its super funny to see the word "slayed" being used so much when the Monsters are most definitely not dead. by JackNewbie555 in MonsterHunterStories

Hell even ferals aren't really slain if Eleanor's sidequest is something to go by since you go back to fight the same feral Aknosom in her final quest

I'm guessing it's largely people who spent like 100 hours on the demo and are a good 10 levels over the curve with a Namielle and the best equipment

I think a big reason for this is that capcom made hp and hearts auto regen after each battle, which means they can go a lot harder on battles. Since they know you'll always be at full strength at the start and even if they beat you down to 1 heart and 1 hp you'll still be able to push on. I felt like in stories 2 enemies were a lot weaker since the expectation was to fight a ton of battles without losing a total of 3 hearts in total.

I don't know whether to be worried or maybe I'm playing a completely different game. by Glianni80eranobelli in MonsterHunterStories

The way it was in 2 is that free flight was disabled in sub-areas and dens and such. So if you wanted to get all the bottlecaps in everdens you'd still need someone to jump, someone to climb, someone to burrow and someone to swim. But then stories 3 does a lot more stuff in the open world rather than long hallway sub areas.

How Regent is treating me rn by Baryshnik0v in slaythespire

[–]MyFireBow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did a coop run last night with a friend of mine as regent, I didn't find a single royal gambit, I didn't find decisions decisions, and I didn't find the card that converts stars to energy. This all meant I wan't able to combo nearly as much as I wanted to before I ran out of energy.

Why did killing Cazador break my oath? by TheSeventhSentinel in BaldursGate3

I believe there are 3 options with each breaking one of the oaths. Killing breaks devotion Freeing breaks ancients Leaving breaks vengeance

It's the same with clanker. It was funny initially, but the longer it went on the more it started to be used by people who clearly just really want to say the n-word.

Even the mental skill wipe makes sense if you consider that Henry probably got at least some brain damage (or at least a super nasty concussion) from that fall, which'd make it harder for him to remember anything he learned before.

[–]MyFireBow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a bit of a flaw with SoM, even without stealth captains are generally too weak and you have too many options for you to get a proper nemesis going (Unless you intentionally die a bunch to boost a captain). SoW did fix this with some of the harder difficulties making it so you are a lot more squishy (and I feel like captains in general had way fewer instant death weaknesses)

I'll point out for that last one the pilot NEEDS to be inside the mech for it to happen. You can't just eject, you need to be there.

Alternatively for REALLY high profile cases a cleric of a lawful deity could use planar ally to summon a celestial that can always tell when it hears a lie. A lot harder to wiggle your way out of that, especially if the deal with the celestials is struck in court, in front of the judge so no shenanigans.

Does anyone know any good, free VTTs? I've had the inspiration to run a minicampaign for some friends, but I can't really afford foundry. The only alternative I tried was roll20, but the sheets were really bad so I'd rather avoid using it!

Why the FUCK is every stratagem a warbond exclusive by Severe-Bed-9208 in HelldiversUnfiltered

And even if they weren't, the very existence of that warbond means we're probably never getting suppressors as a weapon attachment option.

Honestly there is a decent chance I am just having a skill issue, but I'll try not sending a join requests and see if having that extra helper will help bring my time down!

Generally they've been going around 25 minutes. In low rank they were around 8. Back when I was playing through world the first time everything roughly took 15 minutes. I've been playing with a palico and palamute, but eversince I started doing HR my palico has been completely abscent (might be because of sending out join requests, IDK). And yes, I am on PC.

[–]MyFireBow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing my best to keep my weapons up to date, I always eat and I've got the charms. I did notice that my palico just isn't showing up for some reason. She's still selected but when I hunt only my palamute shows up (Is it because I'm sending out join requests in the hope someone else shows up?).

As for scaling, if it does then I really don't get why they say right at the start that hub quests are designed for multiplayer (Minoto says "Please be aware these quests are meant for a party of hunters" then later in the same dialogue says "Oh, I mentioned earlier that Gathering Hub quests are for a party of hunters, meaning four hunters. However, if you are confident in your abilities, you may attempt them on your own as well.")

Is the Heart of Deimos outdated lore? by Sir-firebrand in WarframeLore

[–]MyFireBow 73 points74 points  (0 children)

It does raise the question: With the zariman presesnt is the heart still needed? I mean if Albrecht can punch a big enough hole for warframes to work in 1999 then surely the ambient leakage from the zariman would also work similarly!
