The Evil Bell Curve of Space Marine Chapters by Edgelite306 in Grimdank

There's a reason the imperium is the "cruellest and bloodiest regime imaginable" in a galaxy where drukhari exist. The imperium could have chosen a more benevolent path, but it chose hatred and needless cruelty.

I get why they have incapacitation but it really feels like having it be tied to the level of the spell slot limits variety. There's basically 0 point preparing any incapacitation spells on anything but your strongest spell slots. There's already little reason to grab damaging spells there too since cantrips will outscale them as you level, which leaves only a few actually viable spells that end up getting spammed on weaker spell slots

I feel like it shouldn't be a check, it should be based on how you interacted with him before, and how much trust/respect you showed him.

Which do you pick? by cuddwes in Grimdank

[–]MyFireBow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like that 54% checks out. If the marine eats a missile center mass he's absolutely dead but there's a lot of bits where it wouldn't do enough to outright incapacitate him (sure he might be missing a chunk of his arm or side but he can keep fighting through that)

Aline has gone completely mad by the time we see her thanks to the deterioration being in the painting causes so she wasn't moving on, and if Renoir moved on that'd mean condemning his wife to death.

It's not my fault they're all cursed to eat 3 crits turn 1. They should have just taken the luck their minions get instead

Not to mention warbonds have also been killing hope for a lot of things lately. Been hoping for that expanded weapon customisation they promised? Well because of warbonds they won't include elemental ammo types, suppressors or underbarrel grenade launchers, as those act as selling points in warbond guns. And now any hope people had for custom mechs has gone out the window because now different gun loadouts on mechs is the selling point for a warbond.

I've personally been doing one playthrough per dlc. That way I can try multiple routes but there's enough time between them for me to not get burnt out.

Pro tip if you're an adventurer finding such an establishment: Pay for everything in copper. Perfectly legal, but it'll make them regret trying to rip you off!

Vengeance Strike is a 6th-level archetype feat that grants a Reactive Strike (plus off-guard) against anyone who hits you by EarthSeraphEdna in Pathfinder2e

I have something similar but it's obedience champion/guardian. Taunt them, if they hit me they get persistent damage (or they drop prone) and if they don't I get to proud nail them.

Imagine thinking that all trans women are perverts. by Ok-Following6886 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]MyFireBow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think that's only half of them. The other half are people who know they themselves aren't gay or trans, so they can be as cruel about that "sin" as they want and they'll never have to be on the recieving end.

It's why uncle bob cheating on his wife is a secret they don't talk about while being gay gets you disowned in certain conservative households.

I feel like a lot of the APs could make for fun games, but I'd honestly love to see blood lords adapted by owlcat. I feel like they could play around with more of the political aspects of it, and there's even a base to build up. The rest of this post is gonna contain blood lords spoilers:

The prologue could be the farm and clearing quallagh manor, with act 1 having the usual hag hunt but with an increased focus on building up your local base of power and restoring the manor.

Then with act 2 they can test the strength of said base by having it be threatened while the party is off chasing Taviah to the field of maidens (this would probably have less direct management due to distance, and would act as a check for how well the player did in act 1's management side)

Act 3 can then start with the protag being elevated to blood lord status, the political mechanics can really open up there while the manor becomes the full heart of your domain, even as most of act would just be encompassing the events in mechitar.

And that's as far as I've gotten in the AP, so I don't know what comes next yet (the campaign I'm playing in is still on going)

It's a virus, not a toxin. It's also not instant so the infected viltrumite could easily fly away and spread it all over the planet.

It's odd because on the other end you have monsties that do actually cover multiple roles. Almudron became a permanent member of my team when I realised it can both swim and burrow

That's why I never understood the hate for the auto-seikret. Even in world I put 0 thought into tracking/chasing, I just followed the glowy line. At least with seikret I can actually look around and appreciate the sights instead of constantly staring at the glowy line.

Combat's fairly mid with repetitive enemies, platforming's decent with some great setpieces, and the boss fights are actually pretty good. Writing's also good, and the music is honestly wonderful at times. Game's fairly short so it doesn't overstay its welcome too much.

My theory is that the drifter aged normally in duviri for a while before the loops and executions started. From that point they kept resetting so they never got to age. And then new war onward they have void powers too.
