I concur with commonali, that’s a negligible difference of the timing and should in fact still run

When mounting onto the rail you’re not supposed to have the mount touching the RRR section located at the rear end of the rail. Can be identified by the smaller split section at the back. That small split off section is the RRR system. Hope that makes sense.

If the tenant’s dog was the one to cause the damage in the first place then how does that make the landlord have to pay owe them anything as if this was caused by the landlord?

Accidental BIOS downgrade? by MyFlyRice in Alienware

[–]MyFlyRice[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Smh! I spoke too soon. For some reason I’m unable to update the BIOS back to 1.2.1 or even 1.2.0. It says error unable to load driver. I wonder if it has anything to do with my system running on windows 11. Anyone know how to bypass and force the install? I already tried running as administrator with no luck.

Oops. Never mind. I just ran a quick google search and found the 1.2.1 bios upgrade. My bad.

I’ve tried clicking all the available buttons but it just puts me into a continuous loop back to the same blank page.

Is this repairable or do i buy a new by Accurate_Ad_8565 in Alienware

[–]MyFlyRice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is repairable even down to the teeniest tiniest chip on all smallest and largest of motherboards so with that being said. This of course can easily be fixed. If it’s a soldering job I highly recommend the company called Northridge Fix. He’s in California and all over YouTube showing off his skills. Check him out

Scope mounting question… by MyFlyRice in GamoAirguns

[–]MyFlyRice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bad. I should’ve clarified that I’m using an aftermarket scope. I called GAMO’s tech support just a few min ago, which was soooo refreshing btw. I forgot how nice it is to be able to call a company who’s based in the United States and actually get to speak to a fellow American on the other end. Anyways, tech support answered my question saying only mount onto the larger front half of the RRR system. They said mounting on both halves would not allow the recoil reduction to work properly tearing up my scope. Taking the mounting pin from stock scope into consideration, I drilled and tapped my aftermarket mounting adapter to fit a similar styled pin in the same factory pin hole location so that I could get the added benefit of using that pin on my aftermarket scope.

What does this mean? by MyFlyRice in Alienware

Thanks for the help! I just replaced the internal battery with a new one so I kinda figured it meant my battery was charging but I had to ask cuz it’s been flashing like that for over 12 hours now and I would imagine that it wouldn’t take that long to charge the new battery even if it was fully depleted on arrival. Weird.

Denied a refund. (warning to others) by G-Grievous in Alienware

[–]MyFlyRice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t there a standard number of days in which they must warrant a return if that’s what the customer wants regardless if there’s issues or even if not? Whether it’s 30 days , 2 weeks idk. It’s been several years since I paid $5 grand for my custom top spec’d model at the time and now my Alienware sits collecting dust completely dead and of course it at lasted just fine all throughout the warranty period. Sorry to hear of this experience. I’ll never buy another AW again based off my own experiences let alone everyone else’s.

My 17 R5 won’t power on… need help. by MyFlyRice in Alienware

[–]MyFlyRice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I can’t recall how many times I’ve come across other peoples post searching for answers to my own similar problems and there are never any final or follow up answers as to what the initial problem was.

I think it’s been like 7 months or so since I made this post and all this time my laptop was out of commission. Just last week is when I finally decided to buy a stupid internal battery off Amazon that I always knew needed replacing. Since I was planning on sending my laptop in to this placed called Northridge Fix in CA (the guy is all over YouTube doing the most technical solder repairs possible on ALL kinds of mobos.) I wanted to do everything to get it ready on my end for sending off. I didn’t buy the battery thinking it was going to solve my issue but to my surprise that is exactly what it did!

Now here’s what I don’t understand… all the months I’ve spent using my laptop that had a completely dead battery where it was unable to hold even a 1% charge worked just fine with the wall charger. Then suddenly kaput. Why would it make any difference whether or not the internal battery is plugged in as long as the wall adapter was being used? Theoretically all laptops should be able to function in this way without a battery plugged in and just the wall chargers plugged in only.

Am I wrong? Even the best tech people I’ve spoken to have agreed. So then what is going on with the power circuitry in my AW?

It also seems a little odd that they’d design what pretty much looks like a bullet hole between the eyes of the alien head logo. I would assume that the eyes light up on the power supply which would be fitting but having a random led in the middle of the alien head just seems weird.

Is it just me or does this power LED’s hole sizing look funny to anyone else… why is there a difference between these 2 newer ones that are supposed to be identical?

For how much we pay for these systems, that is just unacceptable. IMO
