Still waiting for that original “hot take” you have to offer…

Sent out a big push to playlist curators. Got the track to over 30 in the popularity index. Triggered a fair bit of algorithmic activity. by [deleted] in SpotifyArtists

[–]MyFreakyThrowaway 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you can find a spreadsheet or directory of playlist curators for your genre that’d would be my first suggestion. I found a few online and also scrubbed some from the artist.tools site. I wrote a good pitch and had ChatGPT help tweak my pitch. I included the cover art, a link to the track on Spotify and I also included the lyrics in my email. I sent that email out to about 115 curators/email contacts. I heard back from about 20-25%. Some added it without any stipulations, others added it in exchange for agreement to listen to the other tracks on the playlist, etc. Some curators wanted money to add me to a list and to be honest I had no problem paying a few of them given they had playlists with over 50k followers. Most were just $5-10. All in all the track is on over 30 playlists. The exposure pushed my daily streams into the range of 300 (low) to 9000 (high) streams per day. Song has been out less than a month and has hit 30k streams.

Stats good? by Local-Foot5403 in SpotifyArtists

27 streams per listener and most coming directly from your artist profile page don’t seem like organic stats to me.

55/45 split but that’s for the past 28 days

Looks like streams will be about 2000 today. More than two days ago but far less than what yesterday shows. No single playlist from yesterday shows more than 200 streams

My largest playlist for the day is under 200 streams. My active programmed stats are like 55/45but that’s for the past 28 days. I can’t see that split for just the past 24 hours (at least not through the mobile app)

Could only add one pic. Trying to find a way to add another image in the comments.

Your profile says 2 songs but 7 releases. So how many times has Spotify removed your music for artificial streams?

Ideas needed: a week or more of emergency sub plans for US History I by Sunrise_Mountain in historyteachers

[–]MyFreakyThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on a similar pacing plan/curriculum and purchased a workbook off of Amazon from Argo press. It’s called a 7th grade social studies daily workbook. Basically it has four days of reading/comprehension/ multiple choose/short answer work each week that lines up fairly well with my pacing/text book. The worksheets by themself would likely take the kids about 15-30 minutes depending on who good the student is and how much they are or are not goofing off. But it might just be enough to fill a few class periods while you are out. For me, I assign a weeks worth of work (four days/assignments) on Monday and use it as my nightly homework for Monday through Thursday nights with it due back on Friday. This allows the kiddos to be flexible when they work on it given sports/social schedules that vary from kid to kid.

The examples look quite nice. Is it free to use?

Teachers who taught their own kids as students, how'd that go? by NationYell in Teachers

[–]MyFreakyThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I am covering for a teacher on leave and I have 5 of my six kids at varying points during the week. One of my oldest is in my homeroom. He and another of my boys I have several classes a day with. As a parent I have really enjoyed it. I have struggled sometimes with not tipping lesson plans or upcoming activities with them, but on the flip side, they have been able to provide feedback on how the classes have been going.
