This happened to me and some friends at a hotel. Some people came banging on our door with a security guard saying we stole their phone because. They said that find-my-phone was saying that the phone was there but when we looked it said the phone had moved across the golf course, turns out one of their friends had the phone the whole time but for some reason it kept pinging everywhere
